Well, of you are really serious about getting your girlfriend back, then you should not give up so easily. Even if your girlfriend is ignoring you, it doesnt mean it is over already. Perhaps, she is only ignoring you temporarily. You just have to wait for the right timing to contact her again, especially if both of you have just broken up.
If your ex is ignoring you, you have most probably done something wrong. Obviously, if you keep on doing the same thing, your result will never change, will it? So, you will have to use a different strategy here instead.

1)Trying to get to her too often
Maybe you have sent her too many text messages. Or maybe you called her too many time. So, she started to ignore you. Well, this is a very normal behavior. Put yourself in her shoes.
What happens if someone does that to you? You will want to ignore that person or even cut off all contact with that person. So, if your girlfriend has not cut off all contacts with you yet, consider yourself lucky.
2)The problem lies with her
This is another possibility that I do not want to rule out. Perhaps both of you have just broken up. She is not ready to face you yet. While you may be feeling the pain now, so is she. So, just give her some time. Give yourself the time to cool down too. You need time to think through things.
Chances are even if you mange to get her on the phone, you wont know what to say to her since you are probably still in an emotional turmoil. It is better to improve emotional state first before doing anything else. This will put you in a better position to get your girlfriend back.
