Glyconutrients - Outside Box -...
The Sweet Language of Glyconut...
Glyconutrients
David Hooper
More and more research continues to flood the internet
regarding glyconutrients. These so called 'miracle sugars' have been
hailed as the next cancer cure. Is this all hype or is there any
reality based to these claims? The key when dealing with nutritional
supplements is to understand that one supplement is not going to solve
all your problems. Everything needs to be done in moderation and not
excess. Think of it this way. If you were working out at the gym,
would you drink a coke to quench your thirst instead of water -
Probably not'I am often amazed at how people are so quick to believe
what they read on the internet. I think it's very scary to buy
nutritional supplements off the internet without understanding what you
are buying first and why you are buying it.The truth about glyconutrients is that yes they are a nutritional supplements. They do
work differently than most herbal supplements and all multi-vitamins.
But will they work for you?Honestly, I don't know. What I can tell you
is that I have seen people first hand go through some miraculous
changes with glyconutrients. However, these people were not drinking
coke while they were working out. They were doing other healthy
things at the same time. My suggestion for people is to look at
nurition and wellness as a big puzzle. You need to find all the pieces
of the puzzle to put it together. Glyconutrients are more than likely
one piece of that puzzle; but they won't solve the puzzle by
themselves. For examples, I have chronic allergies; and yes I take
glyconutrients. Have I stopped seeing an allergist? NO! However, over
the last year I have gone from taking a LOT of medications to taking
very little (if any). Would I have chosen to go on glyconutrients
without still seeing my allergist? absolutely not! So you are probably
asking yourself, why should I try glyconutrients? The short answer is,
they work. The long answer is, you have to take a leap of faith to try
them. Most people that sell glyconutrients are marketing them as a
cure all and are making false claims. I prefer to look at them as
something good for you that your body needs. I recently met a local
doctor in my area who was kind enough to discuss glyconutrients with
me. He actually uses them in his practice. However, he was very quick
to point out that he uses a lot of things in his practice. I also
asked this doctor about obtaining glyconutrients in your diets.
Despite what network marketing companies tell you, you can consume
glyconutrients in a healthy diet. But honestly; who is really
eating a healthy diet? I know I try; but I rarely if ever succeed at
it consistently. I often like to use the comparison of joint
supplements. Most runners, athletes, and people with arthritis take
glucosamine. Did you know glucosamine is a glyconutrient? It sure is.
But the fact is that people do not get enough glucosamine from their
diet; so they choose to supplement it. And people with joint problems
SEE results when they take a glucosamine supplement. Think of
glyconutrients the same way. Glucosamine is just one of the eight key
glyconutrients. In the end, everybody needs to do what is best for them.
You may decide to try glyconutrients; but if you do make sure you do it
because you know they are good for you and not because somebody told
you they will cure your disease. Also, as it is with any nutritional
supplement if you believe you will see a response overnight, the answer
is no. Most supplements will takes months even up to year to show
appreciable results. Unfortunately, that can be an expensive
proposition if you are testing out
a new supplement.
