Even though there are a couple dozen controversies about the effectiveness and safeness of ozone air purifiers, people keep buying them and using them as if their life depended on it. Some people go as far as suggesting that ozone air purifiers are more dangerous to your body then all the other smelly air particles you would breathe in without the air purifier.

If that is true, then why are people still crazy about them? If they are really that bad, then why in the world do so many people swear by them and refuse to live without them? I think the answer to that is simple: Results and experiences will speak for themselves. Though there are some dangers to ozone air purifiers, if used within safe boundaries, they can greatly improve a persons way of life.

An example very similar to this would be coffee. They come out with a few good reasons why one should not drink coffee, yet a little later they come out with a bunch of reasons why a reasonable amount of coffee is good for you. So basically the conclusion to that is: Whatever you do, know the safe boundaries and stick to them. Do not cross them.

Having said that, what are some of the things to be aware of when purchasing and using an ozone air purifier? First off, when using it in an area where there is little to no outside air, limit the length of time you have it on. Too much ozone can be just as bad as the chemicals you are trying to get out of the air in the first place. It can cause your lungs to become sore and even give you a sore throat, so the best thing would be to have it on while not in the area. Especially if it is an enclosed area. Secondly, try to get an ozone air purifying machine that also has an ionizer built in. Not only will the ionizer assist in creating a better, ozone fuller atmosphere, it will also help clean out actual toxic, smelly and smoky air particles.

Most people are not aware of the many toxins they breath in at home. Asthmatics tend to be more aware of these things because of the fact that they simply cannot breath when the air around them is polluted, and that is why they are usually the first ones to swear by the positive results of the ozone air purifier. Definitely something everyone should consider using in home and office.
