A mobile phone with a built in VOIP facility makes for the ultimate economical telephone device the world has been waiting for.

Enter Nokia E65 - Combining The Internet With Mobility Through VOIP

Nokia, the mobile phone people, have armed the man in the street with the ultimate communications weapon, where the cost factor is of prime importance that is. The Nokia E65 mobile packs a big punch with the built-in voice over internet protocol or VOIP for short.

Gadgets.in has taken a sneak peak at this Symbian Series 60-powered mobile, whose pictures have been found in a few places on the internet, a prelude to the launch of the actual product, which is expected to hit the market somewhere in the third quarter of 2007 and will be probably priced around 450 dollars.

What is most luring about this phone is the VOIP facility which can be activated with the button on the side of the handset. This facility to use the internet to make international calls to any phone on the globe makes the Nokia E65 something like a Skyphone. The internet, one must remember, is a very inexpensive way to make international calls.

The looks are also something to contend with, unlike the conventional plastic backs the Nokia E65 has a leather look behind a huge screen that slides up th super slim gadget to reveal the keypad with large keys, much like the famous Razr. This little gadget supporting GSM 850/900/1800 /1900 and WCDMA 2100 MHz is set to hit European shores later this year.
