Arsenal is an English professional football club located in Emirates Stadium, in Holloway, North London. The club is also known as Arsenal and The Gunners; it has been one of the top football clubs. The club's kit is red shirt and white shirts. Arsenal is one of the richest football clubs in English history. Having a large fan base, Arsenal has often served as a representative of football clubs in British culture. Home colors of the group have inspired at least three other clubs in England. Arsenal's crest features a canon pointing eastwards, as a reminder of Borough of Woolwich.

The club's motto is Victoria Concordia Crescit, meaning "victory comes from harmony".

Arsenal was founded in 1886 by Royal Arsenal workers and since then has gathered many Arsenal fans. The club was first named Dial Square, but changed their name to Royal Arsenal and then to Woolwich Arsenal. The club turned professional in 1891 and was promoted to the First Division in 1904. The club has won thirteen First Division and Premier League titles and ten F.A. Cups, being one of the most successful clubs in English football. Arsenal has been the first London club to reach UEFA Champions League final.

Arsenal is in constant rivalry with their neighbor football club, Tottenham Hotspur; matches between the clubs are known as North London derby. Arsenal is also in rivalry with several other football clubs, such as Chelsea, West Ham United and Manchester United.
