Finally decided to try out Osteria Mozza after dining at Pizzeria Mozza at couple of occasions. This is the "formal" side of Mozza while the Pizeria Mozza is the "casual side".
There isn\'t a dress code though, so not to worry.
First impression was the restaurant was really dark. Some might have difficulty reading the menu. Menu seems to be quite exhaustive, so do ask the friendly staff if spoilt by the number of choices you have.
For appetizer, I had Crispy Pigs Trotter with Frisee, Apple and Mustard. That was served croquette style. The outside was nice and crisp, and yet not too oily. The inside was really soft and flavourful. The meat was really well done . Serving was really small though.
From the Mozarella Bar, we had Burricotta with Radicchio, Spiced Walnuts, Honey and Fried Rosemary. The cheese was just right and needs to be slowly chewed for one to appreciate it, blends in perfectly with the toast.
For first course, we had Tagliatelle with Oxtail Ragu. It was tomato-based. There was an overwhelming taste. It might be personal preference but I didn\'t really like it. Also, the pasta was a little overcooked and soggy.
For second course, we had Grilled Leg of Lamb with fregola sarda, mint and yoghurt. The lamb was succulent and tender. Serving was much more generous for this.
For side, we had Grilled Japanese Eggplant with Mint and Yoghurt. The grilled eggplant was done just right, loved it a little charred. It was still soft and juicy, and literally melts in your mouth. It tastes even better when sampled with the yoghurt.Spending: Approximately SGD 80(Dinner)
There are so many exciting celebrity chef restaurants at Marina Bay Sands, but they\'re all so expensive...thankfully, there\'s Osteria Mozza / Pizzeria Mozza.
The Pizzeria side is casual (you could bring kids and not feel out of place) as well as reasonably priced. We paid about $80 for dinner for 2 consisting of 1 pizza, 1 salad, and 2 cocktails.
Pizza: There are so many tempting choices, but we settled on one with goat cheese, bacon, garlic, and scallions. It was salty and sinfully fatty (how pizza should be!), and the crust was really crisp and chewy. It was hard to eat it with a knife and fork it\'s so chewy.I loved it, but my boyfriend wasn\'t a fan - he prefers a softer, doughy crust.
Salad:We order the basic insalata mista. The greens were fresh and crisp, but I found the dressing to be really sour.I wasn\'t a fan.
Pizzeria Mozza is deservingly popular, and you\'ll probably want a reservation.Dining here was an impulse on a Sunday afternoon exploring MBS, and we were able to make a reservation later that night by just stopping by and talking to the staff. It wasn\'t the best seat in the house by any means (we started off at the counter, then moved to a high table near the entrance), but was good enough for a quick pizza dinner
Bellini Brunch (12-2pm on Sundays):
Price: $42++
The service was really great and thoughtful. The service captains were really patient in making recommendations based on our food preference (vegetarian and no beef).
We also had wine with food. I guess like many fine-dinign places, we were given the chance to try our choice of wine before ordering it. A very common win would be a hit with the ladies I suppose: Sauvignon Blanc White Wine. A fruity yet hint of alcohol compliements all dishes.
Strongly recommmended for people who would want to experiece Italian flavours and fine-dining combined together!
Title
PIZZA!
Comment
Pizza actually looks pretty good with some more unique by the slice options than you\'d typically get so maybe if I think they\'d practice a little service with a smile I\'ll return.
We had Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella pizza which recommend by the staff, it was crispy. It\'s not super thin, there is definitely a hearty crust situation going on so it gives it a non traditional new york feel, but none the less still really awesome.
Grade.

we went there after the exhibition - titantic.
Which other restaurant can charge you about $6 for a chicken wing and leave you craving for more? That’s the magic of mozza...no reservations, walk in and wait, its busy, noisy, packed and pricey and everyone cant get enough of it...makes you want to open a pizzeria too (you can pick up the mozza cookbook from any good book store left)..
The pizza\'s different, not everyone loves it, but it’s a good crispy snap (almost like a biscuit). The appetizers are good, but way too expensive... we only had 2 apps and 2 pies and paid about $130 for 3 pax... we only had a bite of th
e calamari each, not even a mouthful.. Yummy stuff, but poor value. Heck, the way they are packing the customers in - it\'s the place to eat at so you can either love them or hate them...Spending: Approximately SGD 50
decided to try out this raved about Italian restaurant which is separated into 2 sections, the Osteria and the Pizzeria. Former selling only pastas and its famous mozerella, the latter its pizzas. The restaurant is usually packed. So its advisable to make reservations before you go. This restaurant is owned by the renowned by Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich in the United States and it is great to have the dining experience brought to Singapore.
I like the garlic bread,it is simply nice.
And it is also quite crispy,i hope that i have a bowl a mushroom soup with the bread. This complimentary chip is served in a paper pack.It is very special.
It taste very nice as it looks.
It is very crispy and well-flavoured with herbs.I like it so much.
The Chicken Wings/drumlets is also nice.It cost only $8.
It is tender and flavourful.butwas sightly spicy and different from the usual type.
When we get it,it is really hot and when i tear the chicken meat,i can see the smoke too.
It is really fresh,i like it..!
Pizzaeria Mozza is a lovely place in Marina Bay Sands with great pizza and beautiful desserts. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a homely interior, lots of wood and interesting menus. Dining room with dim light does look pretty appealing if I was ever in the mood. But the seating was abit too uncomfortable and near to each other.

And we finally got a table at the highlyy sought after and much talked about Pizzeria Mozza after calling in almost a month in advance for reservations. Yet we were relegated to a most uncomfortable table in the pizzeria where seating was tight and with the POS (point of sale) system right behind us (or me to be more specific).
Conversation was almost non existent with shouting the preferred method of communication. Simply put, you had to shout about the din to have someone sitting a mere 2 metres away to actually hear you. I attribute that to the ridiculously loud pipe music. For crying out loud, I\'m in a pizzeria, not a bar and I definitely don\'t appreciate literally yelling at people and being yelled at to get a conversation going. And with the whole place trying to do their part for the environment by saving on electricity bills, the whole place had the pub vibe going for them. But wait.. isn\'t it suppose to be a pizzeria?
Potato Pizza - Egg, Bacon, Yukon Gold Potato & Bermuda Onions. Potatoes on a pizza? Double serving of carbohydrates? Seriously? But to give it credit, it was actually very decent as a whole. A hand full of toppings that synced well together on a thin and crisp yet chewy crust that gave my jaws a good workout (what do they put in there?!) .
Guanciale Pizza - Egg, Guanciale, Bitter Greens & Bagna Cauda. I\'ve actually never tried guanciale (dried meat from pork cheeks) or bagna cauda (an Italian dip made from garlic, anchovies, olive oil and butter) and after tasting what this pizza had to offer, I am still clueless as to how both are suppose to taste like. Reason being, the bitter greens dominated my palate. And the whole pizza tended towards the "grassy" side. Most of us gave up after a slice each.
Meat Lover Pizza - Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella. With all the meat, I was hoping that this pizza would be a blast. But unfortunately, the converse turned out to be true. Very salty would probably be a good way to start off the description and the taste from the salami muscled its way in, overpowering virtually everything else. So essentially what you get is very salty salami on a bed of crisp but tough dough.
5 pax, $158. With 2 out of 3 of our pizzas almost hitting the $40 mark and not matching up in terms of quality and quantity, I\'ll definitely be hard pressed to find a reason to return. We were so disappointed that we didn\'t even bother ordering desserts. And the ambience definitely didn\'t help. This place is seriously over hyped in my humble opinion. Better pizzas at a more wallet friendly price can be found elsewhere.

To dine here may need to do bookings a week before to ensure seats. We were lucky and manageto book on that day itself but due to seats availablity we were given an option either to dine at 5pm or 9pm. We went for the 5pm and just as I thought who would dine this early but to my surprise by 5.30pm, most seats were occupied.
Our starter was the grilled octopus and it was succulent and the lemon sauce was just slightly tangy and smooth. Then followed by the mozerella which came in a huge lump and it was enjoyable at first but halfway through we felt we had enough of it. Our main was the Agnolotti with sage and butter and we were told that the filling was veal and pork which could passed as fois gras, and the quail was juicy and even the breast part was so tender!Overall the food was great and the ambience was cozy and the staffs were friendly and served us well.
Pizzaeria Mozza is a lovely place in Marina Bay Sands with great pizza and beautiful desserts. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a homely interior, lots of wood and interesting menus.Even your utensils come in an envelope! When we went on a weekday for lunch, it was pretty crowded and it was only because we had a reservation that we got a seat.
For the pizza, we ordered a Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella. The toppings were very generous, and the mix of bacon, salami, sausage and cheese did not make the pizza too salty. The crust was nice and crispy even when the pizza cooled down. We would have preferred the pizza served sliced but perhaps we should have requested for that while ordering.
As for desserts, we had a Butterscotch budino, Maldon sea salt & rosemary pine nut cookies and a strawberry ice cream concotion (whose name i forgot). The butterscotch was very very sweet, great for those with a sweet tooth but for others, it would be better to share this with your dining partner because halfway through all the butterscotch was starting to get to me. The strawberry dessert was a great compliment for the butterscotch because it was refreshing and not too sweet. I loved the almond flakes on top - unlike many other restaurants, their was still crunchy.
overall a delightful place for lunch at MBS!
Spending: Approximately SGD 30(Lunch)
The restaurant is spilt into 2 sections - Osteria that serves fine dining and Pizzera that serves causal food and specialised in pizza. Pizzeria is always bursting with people and do make a reservation before attempting to visit it and to reduce waiting time.
Seats are quite packed to one another, not exactly a good place for couples. Most of the time, we have to speak quite loudly to each other. Bar counter seats are also available if you would like to watch the chef in action - preparing pizza right infront of your eyes!
It would be food if there is food description in english as most of the food titles are in Italian mixed with some English @_@ It took us some time to figure out the Italian meaning ...This complimentary chip is served in a paper pack and taste surprisingly good - crisp and well-flavoured with herbs.Calamari with fagioli (beans) & oregano (herb) = $18
We have a new insight of calamari! No longer the usual fried calamari we have ... This calamari is soft and yet retain it\'s spring-ness. Having paired with the beans and herb = it\'s simply gorgeous. But the serving is very small, about 2 pieces of calamri each ;(Meat Lover\'s Pizza = $37
We almost died of saltiness - this meat lover\'s pizza is way too salty for us. The crust is very thin and the centre of crust fell into pieces when we picked up the pizza by hand. Perhaps the "correct" method to eat pizza at Mozerra is to use fork and knife @_@
Perhaps we\'ll be back again but before that we have to source for the RIGHT FOOD to order @_@
Spending: Approximately SGD 60(Dinner)
To celebrate a special occasion, we went to Pizzeria And Osteria Mozza at Marina Bay Sands for dinner. We ordered the Calamari al forno with fagioli & oregano at $18 and Robiola, chanterelles, ramps & scallions pizza at $34. Overall, the meal costs $70 and it was not filling. I thought it was expensive. The calamari was fresh though and the entire taste of the dish was good.Spending: Approximately SGD 40(Dinner)
My first Fine Dining experience, and I am really glad it was Osteria Mozza at MBS.
First: Service
The service was really great and thoughtful. The service captains were really patient in making recommendations based on our food preference (vegetarian and no beef).
Second: Food
The food can be seen from the two photos, asparagus with poached egg was bursting with natural flavours of the ingredients. We also ordered ravioli and it was cooked to perfection, the egg yolk oozes out upon slitting of the pasta, the cheese inside the ravioli was not overpowering yet still flavourful.
My personal order was hand-shaven pasta with an italian special ingredients. I was glad I took the risk, it turned out to be really great. A special try would be mint-yoghurt with grilled egg-plants. The "weird" mint-yoghurt sauce turned out to be not weird but unique. It brings out the egg-plant flavours and the combination was really refreshing, especially after the heavy flavours from other dishes.
We also had wine with food. I guess like many fine-dinign places, we were given the chance to try our choice of wine before ordering it. A very common win would be a hit with the ladies I suppose: Sauvignon Blanc White Wine. A fruity yet hint of alcohol compliements all dishes.
Third: Overall
Strongly recommmended for people who would want to experiece Italian flavours and fine-dining combined together!Spending: Approximately SGD 70(Dinner)
This restaurant is owned by the renowned by Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich in the United States and it is great to have the dining experience brought to Singapore. You can check out their profile on the Pizzeria Mozza website. I am more familiar with Joe Bastianich as he is one of the judges for US Master Chef.
The first thing that greeted me was an envelope on the dining table from Pizzeria Mozza. This is interesting and unique to me. In the envelope was exactly your cutlery and serviette.
I had the Bruschette Ciccioli for the starter. The Ciccioli had a taste of saltiness (properly from the aging) when eaten with the crispy toasted bread was a good combination of flavour and texture.
The best try here is definitely the pizza! It is one of the best pizzas I have eaten and the price range of $20-$28 for a pizza is quite affordable considering this a celebrity chef restaurant. I can\'t wait to go back to try to the rest of the pizzas in the menu.
The pizzas were unique with its extra large crust and shape. I tried both the Stracchino and Burrata pizzas. Both pizzas were distinctly differently in flavours but they were so good that I cannot judge each was better.

This would be the first restaurant I tried in MBS. We had parma ham with mozzarella, calamari as starters. But the calamari was different from the usual fried calamari in other Italian restaurants. Really small portion, came with 3 pieces only. But they tasted good. Its advisable to order 2 portions if you have more than 2 pax.
We ordered Salami and Mushrooms pizzas. Both were good but they took a really long time to serve us the food. At least 30 min. Not a good choice of restaurant if you are really famished.
The restaurant is usually packed. So its advisable to make reservations before you go. Spending: Approximately SGD 60(Dinner)
We celebrated Valentine\'s Day on the eve on a Sunday, decided to try out this raved about Italian restaurant which is separated into 2 sections, the Osteria and the Pizzeria. Former selling only pastas and its famous mozerella, the latter its pizzas.
And the rigid and funny thing is, they are separated hence you can\'t order from the other section. So it\'s basically 2 restaurants next to each other. I think it\'s a stupid concept.
They gave us free appetizers which were bread with some mozeralla i guess. And i didnt know that until after i already ordered the Burata Mozarella which was raved about. It was fresh white mozarella on caramelized onion with crispy bread. Guess it was the better thing we tried there.
My husband ordered Vongole linguini, and i ordered some beef pasta. His was Very SALTY, mine was ok...
And the still water cost SGD10 (Before taxes) ok!!! Gosh....i rather drink from my own bottle of water which is free...
What pissed me off was i asked for a chair or Anything to put my bag, and they didnt come back to me. After i asked a 2nd time, they said they dun have anything for me, and didnt offer anything at all! What kind of lousy service attitude is that? LAZINESS! Not even a normal chair...
And we had a hard time trying to get their attention for ANYTHING!
Not going back there again! Expensive and lousy service and non fantastic pastas...Spending: Approximately SGD 55(Dinner)
