A Quick Review of Spotmau Powersuite 2007

By: tannerlarsson

Running inside of OS is just one of the major challenges facing the majority of the operating system utilities in this day and age, as that this is how they are designed to run. The result of this is that the software that utilities makers design and program has to be designed and programmed to take into account the resource-files and devices that the OS needs to run. For this reason utilities are somewhat limited to the recourses they can access to make changes to them.

Because of this some utilities only function correctly if you reboot your personal computer. Spotmau Powersuite 2007 recognizes this and as a direct result of this runs directly from a bootable CD. If your personal computer is configured to look for the CD first, you simply put the CD into the CD-DVD drive and boot and it's a simple as that. After the CD menu has loaded, you can then easily access all of the utilities without running windows.

When ordering the suite from Spotmau you are given the choice of receiving the CD by postal mail, or downloading an ISO image file. If you opt to download the image file, you will also download a utility the functions to allow you to burn ISO files to a CD. Booting from the CD bring up Powersuites main menu which is a screen that has your utilities sectioned into eight separate distinctive categories.

Hard Disk Tools comes up first and clicking on hard disk tools or moving the curser down to it and pressing (enter) produces a sub menu with disk partitioning options. This menu gives you a veritable cornucopia of options to select from. All of the tool menu options are clear and concise and function quickly and expediently.
