Storage Management & Distribution

By: Kelly Larsen

TeraCloud Storage Framework Professional 2.1 provides storage management with one single interface allowing access to multi-platform storage metrics as well as multi-level media with the z/OS. The challenges of adding and managing storage can result in a wide variety of storage devices spread across an enterprise. Different applications, databases and complexities in storage networks have augmented the need for a centralized storage management solution. TSF meets the needs by providing a single point of control across the entire enterprise. TSF is the first Java enabled enterprise SRM solution to simplify the management of distributed and mainframe storage resources.

TSF is independent of an operating system, hardware vendor and file system enabling you to manage your storage centrally in a complex environment including mainframe attached storage, SAN, NAS and DAS. The easy to use console provides both detailed and summary reporting along with history and trending capabilities. Data collection is easily scheduled to gather data at set intervals of time. Audit capabilities quickly and accurately detect invalid entries into the storage subsystems and submit corrective actions. It provides the ability to review an application data set that spans multiple media types including disk, tape and HSM within the z/OS environment using Logical Pooling Definitions. It also provides methods of defining logical groups of data to fit the organization's needs to report on separate business units. This highlights just a few of the robust features available in the Teracloud Storage Framework Professional 2.1 application.
