There are those that are clueless when it comes to computers. To them, a computer is something you turn on and off and the rest is just too complicated. Some of us are born with the knowledge and some of us have to follow certain training groups to get a grasp of the wondrous machine called the computer.

Here is what you do. Installing memory is no rocket science and if you want to take this step you need to buy the necessary memory. You do this after you are sure that it is compatible with the motherboard and the other RAM, in case you want do add, not completely replace it. After doing this vital step, you need to power down the central unit and unplug the power cable; I'm sure you don't want this to turn into a shocking experience. Place the new memory next to the old one or removing the old one, either way, insert it into a socket is the best choice. Before powering up the pc, make sure that it is well in place and it's clenched tightly. Power up the computer and the rest is up to you.
