Great place great price great ambiance! Enuf said.
Perfect Set meal for a big appetite! love the tonkatsu with cheese and squid with garlic.
Ordered from Ichiban Sushi chocolate truffle logcake, creamy rich chocolate mouse cake with caramel walnut. Must try!!!
Craving for Ichiban Sushi. Gonna have dinner at there.
love their sashimi!
Tasty and delicious sushi at affordable prices! Never fail to satisfy my Japanese food cravings. Try the yummy salmon chill don to fill up your tummy. Ask for NO chilli padi for non-chilli lovers just like me.
serves user-friendly Japanese food, with regular promotions that encourage diners to try new types of regional cuisine :))
delicious sushi at affordable price. the take away sushi set is a good deal.
Delicious beef udon only at Ichiban Sushi!
Teriyaki chicken don!
Love this yummy set :)
Nice food and good service.
Tori Mary Cheese Wazan set lunch. It's good
Affordable Japanese dining. The feel of the restaurant is well-lit and laid back so it works perfectly for a lunch spot.
still have main dish after this, 'healthy' stomach~
Went there for dinner with friends. I ordered Beef Curry with Cheese. When the food was served, it was quite tempting and the food was piping hot. First bite, the curry was quite nice, with cheese inside and it melted inside. The curry was really goes well with the cheese. They were pretty generous with the ingredients. The beef was thin in slices, not much fats and very tender. The curry not too spicy. The chawanmushi was very soft and the texture was very smooth. The tempura was pretty good and it wasn\'t oily.
Hokkaido soup curry udon @ just $5 on weekdays, from 3 - 5.30pm!
Ichiban\'s desserts and takeaway section has the most delicious sponge cheese cake.
Cheese cake has a nice brownish colour with its trademark cow mascot impression on it.
love the texture of this cake - its firm on the outside, moist and cheesy on the inside.
its best to finish it within the day you purchase it as it will start to lose a bit of its flavour the next day
Overall i Love it! - makes a great light dessert & splendid for parties & celebrations!
Decided to dine here with friend for dinner. I ordered Salmon Set. I looks so tempting when received the food. First bite, the salmon was quite fresh and the gravy was just right, its not overly salty and really goes well with the salmon. The salmon was tasty and nice. The miso soup was quite nice, piping hot and not too salty. The chawanmushi was good too. It was soft in texture and have the actual egg taste. Its really melt in your mouth for the first bite. The ingredients inside was fresh and moist.
Ichiban Sushi has several outlets around Singapore. Being a Japanese food lover, japanese cuisine can be quite expensive. I am glad to note that Ichiban Sushi offers value for money set meals. I was with my friends and we all ordered the different set meal available in their menu. A dinner set meal costs about $15.90. Ichiban Sushi is really a great find near Toa Payoh MRT station.
I can\'t express how much I love Jap food! This one is a cook-it-yourself, shabu shabu-style found at Ichiban Sushi. This dish is served with the hotpot and a candle below. The staff lits the candle up and the soup will start to boil. Shabu Shabu your beef in the hotpot, and take it up whenever you want. Rare or well done in soup?
Excellent service too!
Japanese food again never fails to lighten my spirits up.
This is really very delicious. The spread is just so awesome! There is a bowl of rice with 3 pieces of chicken. The chicken was very soft, and it goes very well with the rice. I am able to gobble down the rice with the chicken only The salmon was very tasty too. It tastes fresh but it ain\'t sliced very thick. The chawanmushi was super delicious. It\'s very soft and i don\'t have to chew it at all. The soup was tasty too, there was alot of food inside it, like mushrooms, noodles, tofu and golden mushroom! There\'s also watermelon as dessert. The portion was very big and definitely worth the money. The service was good and fast. The environment was suitable for chilling and enjoying a nice meal.
I went to Ichiban Sushi again. Most of the time, when I go to IMM, I would eat at Ichiban Sushi, with my family. Usually all I ordered was some sushi and a mini cha soba. This time, I decided to try something different. I ordered salmon and upgraded it to a set. I waited long for my meal to come, but it was worth it. The salmon was tasty, although it was a little salty. The set came with rice, miso soup, chawanmushi and watermelon. There was a lot to eat and although it tasted nice, I couldn\'t finish it. I had to ask my mum to help me finish the left over. If only I wasn\'t so full, I could have enjoyed the whole meal. Judging by the price, it was quite worth it. It is a meal that everyone should consider getting. Filling, tasty and worth it. Definitely worth the try.
I love ichiban sushi for its fuss free dining. They even have a loyalty card which will give you one chop for every $20 spent, and after a certain number of chops, you can redeem sushis or $10 voucher. As I still have some stomach space after four plates of sushi, I redeemed the california sushi after accumulating 3 chops. The california sushi is quite tasty. The rice to ingredients ratio is just right, unlike some other places where the sushi rice takes up the bulk of the california roll. This is just nice. Also, there is also some avocado inside the california sushi, which is the first time I had it. Other places dont add avocado, so I thought this is pretty unique and tasty.
Was feeling extremely hungry and decided to have something better for lunch. Wish to have bento set which i can have a variety of dishes.
So have ordered a ichiban bendo wazen which consists of assorted tempura, salmon sashimi, chawamushi, grilled mackerel, miso soup and rice. Wow, whats a sumputous bento set right?
I love the tempura and salmon sashimi the most. Were fresh and delicious! Love the miso soup and chawamushi as well! Its really a filling and satisfying set.
Felt really happy after the meal. Cos im not an \'angry man\' any more. haha
Normally cereal will only make you recall of cereal prawn if you want to use it for fired dishes. However here at Ichiban, the chef has fully used their creativity by using it to deep fry the chicken meat. The chicken meat is tender and juicy, and with at crispy cereal coating over the chicken pieces, it is no wonder why so many younger generation love this dish so much.Really a very nice finger food that is suitable as a snack or even eat with a bowl of fragrant plain rice.Dip this chicken pieces with wasabi sauceor normal mayonise sauce will even enhance the flavour in it too.
Being Japanese food lovers, me and my daughter went to Ichiban Sushi for our lunch. As we both enjoy sushi, we decided to just order the sushis off the conveyor belt instead of having to order the set meals. In particular, I love this two sushis that we had, the seasoned scallop sushi as well as the salmon avocado sushi. The salmon avocado sushi is a must order for me every time I go Ichiban. The salmon and avocado combination is superb with the creamy avocado and firm and fresh salmon. The seasoned scallops sushi, although common, is nicely done here without being overly salty.
we thought this place would be nice as there is a long queue and a long wait everytime we pass there. but we were wrong. the conveyor belt sushi were very plain and small and only about 4 different types on the belt. if you want anything, you have to order it. the variety of sushi on offer is very limited. so we ordered from other sections, like the sashimi made to order. we had a salmon sashimi and it totally did not come looking like the menu picture at all. we were flabbergasted. it wasn\'t cheap and it wasn\'t fresh. didn\'t taste or look good. small, crowded seating. not recommended.
This chicken katsu don at Iciban really taste delicious! The chicken cutlet in it is really big, crispy and the meat is very tender and juicy. With the beaten egg spreaded on the entire rice add in that extra fragrant to it.Like the long spring onions on it too as it added that extra little crunch to it when you eat the rice with the chicken cutlets. The portion is just alright for an adult. You may also want to consider to have their prawn don, pork don and vegetable don as well they are both equally good.
Not many people know that Ichiban sushi actually sells mochi as well. I myself didnt realise it until yesterday when I happened to see these little boxes at the cooler area where all the takeaway sushi is at, just beside the cashier. The boxes used to store the mochi is also very nicely decorated with flowers which signifies the sakura season in Japan.
There are a total of 4 different flavours, green tea, red bean, mango and strawberry. The green tea and red bean ones cost $3 per box while the mango and strawberry flavlours are a little more expensive at $3.20. The green tea mochi is very fragrant, the green tea paste within the mochi is very smooth and not too sweet. The mochi skin on the other hand is very soft and slightly chewy which gives it some texture. I loved it very much. The mochi is best eaten on the day of purchase, though I kept it in the fridge for one day, the mochi skin is still very soft and did not harden.Spending: Approximately SGD 3
Since I was at Toa Payoh and had cravings for sushi, I decided to visit Ichiban Sushi to buy some takeaway sushi home. I bought my favourite lobster salad sushi, salmon sushi and nihotate sushi, and some coronets to share. The sushi was good. Coronets were tasty too!Total damage was $14.50. Cashier was very friendly and chatty and rendered good service. Thumbs up!
I like octopus sushi! Particularly those at Ichiban. The octopus sushi at Ichiban is thickly filled with baby octopus and the gravy. Also it is fresh and delightful. It is chewy and delicious. Ichiban serves great and fresh sushi, with the seaweed still crisp and cunches when you bite into it
This japanese green tea cold noodles also known as soba does not taste especially delicious. I would say it is average and I have higher expectations of it, thus I am slightly disappointed after tasting their soba. The noodle is springy but there isnt much green tea taste, instead it is bland. The sauce that goes with the noodle did help add some point but I guess it is not worth the price.Spending: Approximately SGD 9.0(Lunch)
Ichiban Sushi! My favourite sushi at Ichiban Sushi is none other than the inari, which has lobster with mayo filling. The lobster is really tasty and the sweetness of the mayo really helped to bring out the best of the lobster. There is a little bit of of wasabi which I personally taught helped to top the sushi off really nicely. The salmon skin is very crispy & There\'s some salmon meat too. But I think there\'s too much MSG. After ate finished the whole pack,i need to drink many cups of water. I won\'t order that again, but will try their other food !!
there\'s always a long queue here so we thought it must be something good. actually there\'s nothing good. the price is the common conveyor belt sushi price. but the quality is pretty bad. the sushi size itself is pretty small. it wasn\'t fresh either. and you can order from a menu, but comes out is totally different to the picture in the menu. the menu is just for show. the real food that comes out pales in comparison. there is not much on the conveyor belt either. and the chefs are not japanese and are complaining all the time with a sour face. luckily the green tea is unlimited and is real japanese green tea. not recommended.
Went there for dinner with colleagues. I ordered Chicken Curry with Cheese. Its a hot plate made up some chicken in thick curry gravy with carrots and some cheese on top. First try, the curry was not bad. The curry was thick and smell good. The main thing was it was piping hot and the fire was still lit so that the cheese can melt. The chicken was tender and fresh. It was juicy and moisture too. The cheese was goes well with the curry, a good combination. The miso soup was average. The tempura was a bit oily but it was crispy and fresh. It have sauce to dip the tempura. Overall, the food was not bad.
I had one of the value promo sets: Sukiyaki Salmon Wazen. I was quite taken aback by the portions served. There are many things served in this set. There\'s fresh salmon in sukiyaki sauce with egg (which definitely whet my appetite!) served with rice. There is also a few slices of tender black pepper smoked duck. There is also chawanmushi, miso soup and a slice of watermelon. The food were all fresh and this set is definitely value for money!
Decided to dine here with friend for dinner. I ordered Garlic Chicken. I looks so tempting when received the food. First bite, the skin of the chicken was quite crispy and the garlic sauce was very fragrant, its not ovely salty and really goes well with the chicken. The sesame seeds give the chicken a nice sesame smell. The chicken was juicy and tender. It taste quite nice. The miso soup was quite nice, piping hot and not too salty. The chawanmushi was good too. It was soft in texture and have the actual egg taste. Its really melt in your mouth for the first bite. The ingredients inside was fresh and moist. The soft shell crab was average and a bit oily. Overall, the food was good.
I quite like Ichiban’s unagi and egg dish. It costs below $15 and has a generous serving of rice, fried eggs and unagi pieces ontop. What I liked was that the unagi had few bones and there was sufficient sauce on the rice. It comes with a small bowl of miso soup.
We also ordered a beef sukiyaki. The beef soup was a little bit too sweet, but my friend thought it was great. It comes with fatty beef slices, an assortment of vegetables, tofu, raw egg (don’t pour it in straight away because it will dissolve) and transparent noodles. The portion is large enough for girls not to order an extra bowl of rice to go with it.
We had dinner here on Sunday and the queue was about 20 minutes for 2 of us at 6pm. We ordered a set meal of a small bowl of chicken and egg and cold green tea noodles. It comes with miso soup and 2 slices of oranges. The noodles are an acquired taste in my opinion as my mum liked it but i did not.
The waiters accidentally served us an extra bowl of rice instead of soya sauce to dip the cold noodles in and the cashier subsequently tried to charge us for the extra bowl of rice. But when we explained she was very nice about it. I was impressed because she did not doubt our words and did not double check with the waiters. good service in my opinion.
Dad is a cake lover and he onli eats traditional sponge cake or swiss roll from chinese bakery and i\'m surprise when he told me he love cheesecake! Yes, i tot it\'s those heavy cheesecake like strawberry cheesecake, orea cheesecake or newyork cheesecake. But i was so wrong. Dad describe the texture as light, fluffy and moist. And since den, we been frequenting the ichiban at hougang mall to get the cakes. The signature japanese cheesecake
As I was too late to enjoy the lunch specials, I decided to just order off their conveyor belt inside. Each plate costs $2.10 so it is quite easy to chalk up a bill of $15 with around 6plates of sushi. Normally, I try to get those sushis where the ingredients are more expensive like the salmon and tako which also happen to be the sushis that I like. The other sushi besides the tako sushi is the avocado salmon which normally will not be at the conveyor belt, you will most probably have to ask the service staff to take your order and he will dish it to you. Overall, I spent around $13 for 5 plates of sushi.
I was there with my wife yesterday,we wanna have fish market fish & chipsbut the queue was quite long,so we tried this instead
I ordered some sushi,The tuna sushi with mayo sauce was nice, but tuna was a bit too dry,it would be better ifthey add in more mayo ,as it was a bit tasteless
For dessert we tried the green tea & vanilla red bean mochi
The portion was quite small,I prefer the green tea more,as vanilla was quite sweet
The mochi was QQ ,Their red bean was not very nice, compared to MOF
This was quite small & dry too !!
The fried chicken, like all fried chicken from Ichiban Sushi, is amazing. The crust is always not too floury an the meat is juicy. Additionally, the sauce used for the chicken is really good this time round. Its sweet and doesn\'t have the common salty taste in sauce. I loved it with the rice so much that I cleaned off all the sauce they gave.
Nice sushi. Not cheap but the quality is pretty good. It\'s better than most places. There is takeaway sushi and there\'s a lot of variety and sauces to choose from. The sushi here is pretty nice. And they are delicious and I would surely patronise again for their other main course. It was filling too so definitely worth going there again!
went down to have ichiban sushi for dinner with my lab mates. since i had too much heaty food recently , i went for something more soupy which was hotate nabe. the set included hotate nabe, salmon sashimi, teriyaki chicken don, chawamushi and fruits. the portion was really big and i could hardly finished the food. the nabe was nice but i think the soup was a little blend so can consider adding some soya sauce when eating
passed by changi city point and had ichiban sushi for dinner. ordered some sushi and they are not too bad. i especially like this roll with crab meat, cucumber and i think was fried salmon, the best part was the thin layer of omelette to replaced seaweed. the taste was quite nice and quite different from the normal sushi
IT was my second time here,I came with my friend for dinner
It was quite long queue ,
I ordered curry rice ,salmon skin & ice cream
The curry rice was very nice, with cheese inside,so it melted inside
There\'s quite a lot of meat inside too,in thin slices, not much fats & very tender
curry not very spicy,just mild
The chawamushi was very soft, but a bit watery on the buttom
when paying bill,my friend paid using nets, the cashier don\'t really know how to use it & keep asking us if we have card to pay,
Overall i rate 6/10
Went there for dinner with friend for dinner. I ordered Chasoba. The chasoba was not tasty and the soba was a bit floury. It quite good when mixed with the tea. The tea actually tastes like tea, not overly salty or tasteless and unlike some restaurants where the tea tend to be tasteless. Overall, the chasoba was average.
went down for lunch at clementi mall ichiban sushi recently and the service was disappointing. we waited very long for us to be served and an even longer time for the food to arrive. the problem is definitely due to the lack of manpower because the whole store was had 3 waiters and there was so many customers there.
but bad service aside, the food was not too bad. the sushi was quite nice and unique compared to other places that i had tried. the set meals also had quite a generous portion of foodSpending: Approximately SGD 25(Lunch)
My friend and I decided on ichiban sushi for our lunch since we both love japanese food. We are quite lazy to look through the menu, so we just grabbed any sushi that catches our fancy off the conveyor belt. We took the usuals like the unagi sushi, inari, california and some of their specials which we got the chefs to prepare for us like "the peak" and salmon avocado sushis. Pictured is the tako and salmon avocado which we got the chef to prepare since it isn\'t in the convey belt. The salmon avocado sushi is very smooth and creamy and glides down the throat. The tako sushi is fresh and very well flavoured with the seasoning. Overall, we had an enjoyable lunch here.Spending: Approximately SGD 10
went down to ichiban sushi for lunch couple of weeks ago and ordered the chicken cheese set since it looked so nice on the menu. we went down for lunch about 12 and there was quite alot of people in the store but not full house yet. but i think the service was really bad and it was due to severely under staff. i saw the whole store only have about 3 staff and they were busy running around. and we had to wait very long for our food to be ordered and even longer time for the food to arrive. so i was very disappointed with the service.
bad serive aside, the food was not too bad. i ordered my favourite tobiko sushi, it tasted not too bad, the roe was quite crunchy. the set meals portion were really huge, normally it came with a main dish, rice, side dish, chawamushi and fruits. that day the soft shell crab tasted quite horrible and was not hot. the chicken was quite nice but too salty. so my favourite dish from the set was the chawamushiSpending: Approximately SGD 20(Lunch)
Went there for dinner with friend. I ordered Chicken with Cheese on top set. The chicken with cheese was with a generous serving of rice and big slab of chicken. The gravy was quite good, not too salty nor bland and was good to eat with rice. The chicken was a bit dry and not tender, a bit disppointed. The soft shell crab was a bit soggy, not recommended. The chawanmushi was not bad. Every mouthful was a sheer delight. The suhsi was average.
As this is my first time dining at ichiban sushi, I didnt know what to order as their extensive menu seems to have a lot of good food to try and it made me spoilt for choices. I decided to choose the beef sukiyaki and i was quite pleased with it. It has a lot of ingredients in the pot and the beef was also not bad! Service was also quite alright as it was during the lunch time so the whole place was packed but we did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive.
This salmon don is nice.
The salmon is fresh and the rice is also nice.
Must mix well before eat so that all part of the rice can mix with the sauce. The unagi is also not bad,it is soft and tasty.
I really like this kinds of japanese food.
They place it very nicely and it really look clean.
Bento...!
The miso soup is also not bad,but is a bit too salty.
But I think there\'s too much MSG.After ate finished the whole pack,i need to drink many cups of water. I won\'t order that again, but will try their other food !!
My girlfriend bought me a unique snack from dorayaki. Dorayaki belongs to ichiban sushi and is located next to it. this dorayaki is actually two pancake sandwiching some filling. the pancake is very delicious and they only made it when you order so it is very fresh. The pancake itself taste sweet. we wanted to order egg mayo but they ran out of it so we opted for potato salad. The potato salad goes very well with the pancake. The potato salad is very light and refreshing so when combined with the two pancakes, it taste really good.
Jan i went there to take away my fav salmon skin & some of their sushi
The waiting time was quite long due to chinese new year,i waited for around 15-20mins
As usual the salmon skin never fail to disappoint me,very crispy & nice
As for their sushi, this time i find that it was not that fresh,there\'s a bit smelly,<sour smell> when i ate it,& this time the service was not good,my salmon skin was ready but staff just leave it on the table,i waited for 5mins for them to pack ,there\'s a few staff standing there but don\'t bother to come & pack it,so
Overall i rate 6/10
I like this katsu chicken rice don!
as you can see they serve the rice with quite many pieces of fried chicken cutlet.
and it is melted with slices of cheese for yumminess..
and provide a better presentation for the dish.
it is served with a small bowl of miso soup, chawanmushi and salmon sashimi as a set meal.
there are some small beancurd cubes and seaweed are in the miso soup.
the soup and katsu chicken are just taste very nice!
Been passing by this outlet a couple of times on a weekend but didnt dine there until now as the queue can sometimes extend to outside where they have to leave open the glass door.
The sushi served here is very tasty as it\'s very fresh and of course the price is reasonable too ranging from $2.10 to $3.90 a plate.
Service here is good and fast too even though it\'s full house and we are 3rd in queue.
The salmon belly with mentaiko is slightly grilled and the handroll negitoro is freshly wrapped in crisspy seaweed and chopped tuna.
Wan some ichiban foodthen come to Ichiban sushi as the name suggests. haha.... The ichiban sushi here is very fresh and food serving speed is also very fast despite the fact that there was a crowd during the time of our visit. Recommend one to try their salmon avocado sushi which is a very good combination as salmon has omega three and avocado also has great nutrients that are good for our skin !
Ichiban has come out with a new chasoba menu which is a special deal for people who dine in from 3pm – 5.30pm from Monday – Friday.I ordered their pirikara nabeyaki chasoba which I think it’s quite nice; it’s in fact a whole new taste for chasoba. The noodle is hot instead of cold and they added the chicken and sauce into the soup as the sauce is quite salty and sour and spicy plus the bland soup, the soup is in fact quite tasty! You have to mix it well! This set meal includes free flow of green tea and this plate of Japanese rice ball.It is quite a good deal.Spending: Approximately SGD 5(Tea)
My mom decided not to cook for dinner, thus we headed to ichiban sushi to settle our dinner. we ordered quite a few dishes, and it was really good. The ingredients they use were fresh, and the servings were quite big. I love the salmon sashimi the most. When eaten with the mayo sauce, the taste was even better. I would definitely choose Ichiban sushi if i have any Japanese cuisine cravings.
dine regularly at Ichiban Sushi and will always have the miso soup. Their miso soups are very concentrated as compared to other well-known Japanese restaurants in Singapore. It has a strong miso flavouring and is very sweet. Perfect for quenching thirst after a bento or sushi. You can add-on miso soup to any set meals or ala carte for approximately $1.80. Do give it a try!
The set meal is only $15.90 and personally, I think its worth the money b/c it is really very filling and satisfying. However, its too much for me and normally I\'d share it with someone and add-on a $1.80 rice. Its one of the many dishes I recommend from Ichiban Sushi!
The soft shell crab tempura is my mother\'s favourite. The sauce that comes along with it..which is radish sauce or something, is perfect with the crab. Also, the chawanmushi is totally worth the money. Its very soft and have the actual egg taste. Not only is it a big serving, there\'s chicken, mushroom, a weird fruit (I\'m not too sure what it is yet..) and crab meat in it.
Had a $10 voucher from ichiban sushi. So i decided to get a cheese cake and some mochi. The cheese cake is an all time favourite. It’s smooth and light and price is affordable. Just $8.80. As for the mochi ($3.90) , it’s tasty as well. The skin is still soft despite putting it in the fridge for 1 day. A good try !Spending: Approximately SGD 8.80
I forgot the name about this dish already, but i remember the taste of it.
My friend always call me to order mushroom, because they say that it is very tasty and good for health. And i do so.
It is really out of my expectation.
It is absolutely have very few mushroom inside.I only can find one in this dish.
By the way, this dish is quite nice, not very heavy.
The combination of those ingredients are quite special.
The little cheesecake from there are also very ncie.
There are two sizes the large one and the small ones. The cheesecake is relatively light, not the heavy kind. the cake does not crumble easily as well. the smell of the cheesecake is very fragrant.
It is really delicious!
This is my very first time ordering a set from Ichiban Sushi, normally I will just grab sushis off the conveyer belt. I forgot the name of this set, but the code for it on the menu is PM2, and it costs $17.90++. The set comes with two slices of watermelon, chawanmushi, rice, salmon sashimi, miso soup and the steamboat.
The steamboat has cabbages, enoki mushrooms, thinly sliced meat and the chinese mushroom. It is supposed to be spicy but I find it not spicy at all, hence it is quite dissappointing since I ordered it precisely because the menu indicates two chillis. The meat is very yummy since it is very thinly sliced and it is well-marinated. However, I wish the serving of meat could be more. There are only 4 slices which is very little, considering it is so thinly sliced. I love the chawanmushi - it is very smooth and not too salty. I especially love the sliced mushroom in the chawanmushi. Overall, I think I will stick to ordering ala carte instead of set, since the steamboat is not worth it, and I can easily just order chawanmushi and sashimi ala-carte.
we had some sushi for tea break
i ordered inagri egg with roe.. Japanese cucumber with prawn.. and tomago sushi which was wrapped with avocado
their sushi were fresh.. and i love eating from this sushi restaurant.. authentic Japanese rice. with just one mouth.. its gone per piece of sushi =)
we had some other desserts as well which is not featured here.
Went there for lunch with friends after exam. I\'ve been dine here quite few time but never tried this set, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered Scallop Set. It consist scallop, salmon, teriyaki chicken, chawanmushi and water melon. First try, it was not bad but the scallop was disappointed. The shell was bigger than the scallop meat, I can\'t even tasted the flavor. I quite like the soup, the taste was just right which not overly salty. It was nice the soup was served piping hot. Other than that, I also like the teriyaki chicken. It was pretty cirspy and sweet but not overly sweet. As for the salmon, nothing special. I like chawanmushi. Its texture was very smooth. Overall, the food was not bad.
this outlet is good because they sell a variety of dishes other than typical japanese food, you can grab sushi on the go, dorayaki as well as yakitori. the restaurant itself is relatively big but it will always b packed during peak hour. the set meals were quite nice but the choices were quite limited but their sushi were not bad
i think one good thing about ichiban sushi is the large variety of choices of food. the sushi are not too bad and the portion of the food are quite reasonable too. price wise is not too expensive either but there tend to be quite a long queue unless eating there at odds hours. the downside of this outlet is there is not cushion or counter seats so may not that good for chill out with a large group of peopleSpending: Approximately SGD 20(Dinner)
i did not notice the yakitori and dorayaki stores are under ichiban sushi until recently. the yakitori are not bad and quite a few choices to choose from. but the most amazing thing have to be the dorayaki. the taste wise isnt exceptionally nice but the preparation is what amaze me. the staff use the burner to cook the other side of the dorayaki, reminding me like adding final touch to some dessert. and to finish off the pancake, they will heat up the metal rod to imprint the fiesta logo onto the pancake and that is just so cuteSpending: Approximately SGD 2(Night Snack)
Had an early birthday celebration for my mum at Ichiban Sushi at IMM on a sunday! We didnt spend a long time queueing as the service was quite fast. This is the first time that I patronised this shop and the service was great, the food was awesome too! The Sashimi was fresh and the black pepper chicken was nice too. 4 of us dined with a spending of abt $70, so each of us spent roughly abt $17. The quantity of the food is average.Spending: Approximately SGD 17(Lunch)
Spending: Approximately SGD 24
Ichiban sushi at Jurong Point\'s basement japanese food street perpetually has a very long que outside, even on weekdays. We arrived at 6pm hoping to beat the evening crowd on a thursday and ended up waiting for more than half an hour.
I ordered a beef sukiyaki and my friend ordered a chicken sukiyaki. i found the beef sukiyaki better because the soup was sweeter and tastier. The set comes with vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, rice, egg and thin beef slices, all of which you will cook for yourself over the fire. Try to cook the beef slices soon because oncethe fire extinguises, its a hassle to get the staff to bring the tray back in to light the fire again.
had ichiban sushi for dinner with a friend at plaza sing outlet ichiban sushi. we waited for around 10 mins before getting a seat inside. ordered my usual favorite ones which are egg mayo ignari (the one with taupok skin and stuffed rice, egg mayo, comes in 3) , abalone sushi (this is good!), salmon avocado sushi, salmon sushi, chawamushi, agedashi tofu. I will usually order 6 plates, which is filling enough for me because the egg mayo ignari is v filling. the staffs there are friendly, sushi serves fast but for ala carte have to wait abit. one down thing is sometimes their soysauce plate (the small one) or the plates that are put on the table are nt clean. wipe before eating. other than that its all good. for that 6 plates its ard $16+
Ordered a sashimi miyabi there were tuna, yellow tail, salmon and it costs $25.90.i thought it was quite worthy; the portion was huge as well. You can simply share among four friends of yours. Chicken katsudon, the mixture of chicken, onion, egg and rice makes it a filling lunch for me and it costs $9.90 before GST.Spending: Approximately SGD 35.80(Dinner)
Ordered a Chicken Katsu curry for $12.30, hotate nabe wazen $15.90 and chawanmushi $3.90. The Chicken Katsu Curry with a generous serving of rice and a big slab of chicken katsu. The curry was quite decently thick with bits of potato. The hotate nabe wazen was a pretty nice and an all rounded set meal, there is two slice of watermelon, hot soup, chawanmushi, rice with chicken katsu with the raw salmon placedseparatelySpending: Approximately SGD 32.10(Lunch)
Yesterday i went there to take away "Salmon skin"
It cost $2.25
The salmon skin is very crispy & There\'s some salmon meat too
But I think there\'s too much MSG
After ate finished the whole pack,i need to drink many cups of water
I won\'t order that again, but will try their other food !!
Strawberry sparkle as a drink at $4.60++ is not a cheap drink at Ichiban Sushi as so far that\'s the most expensive drink i had paid but again such drinks are instance made only upon ordering and their mixture is always not too sweet and soda added just nice.
Their agedashi tofu at $4.90 for 4 pieces of well fried beancurds is however value for money.
It\'s so well deep fried that the skin is crisp and the dashi and seaweed toppings with the sauce is a prefect dish that i could eat the whole 4 pieces by myself.Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Other)
We tried the Chicken curry cheese set at ichiban. Chicken curry cheese is basically a hot plate dish made up of fried chicken swimming in thick curry gravy with carrots and a slice of cheese ontop. When served, the gravy is already boiling hot, but the fire is still lit so that your cheese can melt. I suggest not stiring the melted cheese in because it tastes better that way. Once the cheese is melted, you should blow out the fire (takes a few tries) to avoid having smoke in your face. The set consists of miso soup, rice, tempura and2 small pieces of watermelon. Overall i think the curry version is nicer than the chicken curry. The chicken somehow still manages to retain its crispiness, which is great! And also because theres a promotion for Japanese Fish Cake ($4 for 4 pieces, takeaway), we bought all 4 different flavours of fish cake. The flavours are: Ebi, vegetable tempura, octopus and squid. I liked the ebi ones best. However, you should eat them soon after purchase as they don\'t taste as nice cold.
this time i went to ichiban sushi to buy a little cheesecake to share with my sister. we are both cheese cakes fan but both scared to grow fat so we often share our cheese cakes. we both love the cheese cake from ichiban sushi. there are two sizes the large one and the small ones. we always buy the small one, so can satisfy our craving for the cake yet not too much. the cheesecake is relatively light, not the heavy kind. the cake does not crumble easily as well. the smell of the cheesecake is very fragrant. really delicious!
This is the Blue Phantom drink from Ichiban Sushi. It is basically a mixture of blueberry puree and sprite, topped off with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cherry on top. Even though the ingredients may sound like they do not complement each other, well, the truth is it wasn\'t so bad. Granted it wasn\'t really all that great, but at least it didn\'t taste weird and it was refreshing. I also found it a little bit sweet but my dining partner found it acceptable so i guess its just me. I also felt the ice cream on top wasn\'t exactly necessary- wish they sold blue phantom without the ice cream as well.
This restaurant serves very very good salmon mentaiko set which consists of well grilled salmon and still not dry but juicy inside topped with generous amount of mentaiko, rice, miso soup and fruits.
It\'s sashimi and sushi are very fresh too and especially it\'s handrolls,i think they grill the seaweed before wrapping as the handrolls i ordered for California temaki are very crispy.
It\'s drinks menu are very interesting and delicious like the pink lady which consists of soda, ribena, nata de coco and top with cherry.
I was craving for some Japanese dinner and decided to give this a try as it always has a pretty long queue. I ordered the Tori Maru Cheese Wazen. It comes with a cheese teriyaki fried chicken, soft shell crab, chawanmushi, rice, miso soup, a bowl of rice and two slices of oranges. The teriyaki chicken is tender and soft. Coupled with the sweet teriyaki sauce and cheese, this is a unique combination which is delicious. The chicken also comes with some mushrooms too. The chawanmushi is very smooth and the soup in it is sweet. The chawanmushi contains mushroom, chicken and gingko. I was a little disappointed with the soft shell crab as it has a little fishy taste which I think maybe due to it being not very fresh. The sauce given for the soft shell crab was not good and I dipped it with the teriyaki sauce instead which made it taste better. Overall, this is a very filling dinner.Spending: Approximately SGD 15.90(Dinner)
The lobster mayo inari is my favourite inari out of all the inaris that Ichiban Sushi offers. A generous amount of lobster is wrapped with sweet bean curd skin. The lobster is absolutely tasty and the sweetness of the mayonnaise is perfect with the lobster. There\'s a hint of wasabi in the lobster (I don\'t know why) but it is not spicy at all. I highly recommend it! It is 3 big lobster mayo inaris for a price of $3.90. Pretty filling!
Spending: Approximately SGD 9.90
The assorted tempura\'s crust isn\'t too floury and it is relatively moist. The tempura is always fresh and sweet. It comes with a very special sauce, that\'s mixed in either radish or jicama (I can\'t really differentiate it). I\'d always ask for an extra serving (its free!) of the sauce because it not only goes perfect with the tempura, it is awesome with rice. Do remember to give it a try if you\'re dining at Ichiban Sushi!
This is another one of those unique sushi Ichiban Sushi offers. The sushi consists of raw salmon, topped off with grilled cheese, a mixture of tomato and chilli sauce, and spring onion. It tasted weird at first b/c the weird combination of grilled cheese + raw salmon but I love cheese, so it was pretty all right for me. My sibling didn\'t like it though. I think it\'ll depend on one\'s preference but it is worth trying. It costs only $2.10!
My sibling and I love salmon sashimi. Ichiban Sushi\'s salmon sashimi are always fresh and like always, they are very generous and the salmon always come in very thick slices. It has a strong salmon taste and isn’t too “fishy”. At times we don’t want to have it raw so we would throw it into the hotpot to cook the salmon. Taste just as good!
I highly recommend salmon sashimi lovers to eat at Ichiban Sushi. They are seriously very generous with their salmon
I dine regularly at Ichiban Sushi and will always have the miso soup. Their miso soups are very concentratedas compared to other well-known Japanese restaurants in Singapore. It has a strong miso flavouring and is very sweet. Perfect for quenching thirst after a bento or sushi. You can add-on miso soup to any set meals or ala carte for approximately $1.80. Do give it a try!
I am a fan of japanese cuisine and I like going to Ichiban for my fix of japanese food. This is the lobster salad sushi that I frequently order. I like it for its freshness as well as the seasoning that goes into the lobster sushi. Although the sushis here are more pricey than those of Sakae, their sushi is really of a better standard.

I went to ichiban sushi with my girlfriend, we decided to order their different unique sushi. I ordered one called the peak. It taste really good. the ingredients are really fresh. the rice taste really good. the delicate sushi is indeed a piece of artwork, really tasty!
My family and I usually visit IMM on Thursday or Friday night. This night we decided to dine at the Ichiban Sushi Restaurant at IMM. We made our usual selection; Tamago Sushi, Chawanmushi, Katsu Don, Cha Soba, Lobster Salad Sushi, Gyoza, Cheese Cake etc.. They were having a promotion on the Premium Cha Soba, $8.50. My children ordered one each. Their comments were that it was a bit hard. I tried and thought it was just normal, not really \'premium\' as the name suggested.Personally, I liked the Gyoza. They have two different type of sauce in the menu. I chose the Teppan and asked for less sauce, as I didn\'t like it too sweet. The outcome was great. My daughter ordered this Strawberry Sparkles. It looked so pretty. It taste nice too.I like their cheese cake too.
It\'s a good place for family dine-out.

i always go to hougang outlet to eat
the food was just so so,not very authentic
however i love their salmon skin
i tried sushi tei one but 1 plate about $5.90
while this only cost $2.20
very crsipy,crunchy,not too salty
i also like cheesecake,i think is their best seller too
always sold out at night time
one more nice dessert to recommend was their matcha azuki
not too sweet, with big azuki ,mochi veri chewy,QQ
overall i rate 6/10 for this

It was time for dinner after the latest harry potter movie and since i was craving for japanese food, my boyfriend and i decided to drop by ichiban sushi for a meal!
i ordered the ichiban don for $12.90 before tax, was was a simple rice bowl that came with a lot of fresh salmon sashimi slices and a bowl of miso soup!
Overall, a great and simple japanese meal.
The japanese food restaurant in Singapore are almost always filled with people, regardless of weekday or weekend. I had to wait for more than half an hour to get a table for two.
Ichiban has to be one of the nicest japanese food restaurants around. They offers a wide variety of combination meals and every single one of them looks so yummy that it is hard to decide. I eventually chose CM1, which consist of a seafood miso soup, a teriyaki mini-rice bowl, sashimi, steamed egg and a plate of fruits.
The portion was huge. It was almost hard to finish and i feel as though i had just finished a buffet. The salmon sashimi was fresh and sweet, the seafood miso was just how miso should taste and piping hot. And i would totally go for the teriyaki chicken next time. Its so flavorful!
It was during one of the after school trips to Hougang Mall many years ago that I actually discovered this awesome and superb coronet from Ichiban Boshi. The coronets come in two different flavours, custard and chocolate. I love the custard flavoured one. The crust is topped with a layer of icing sugar and it is crisp and delicious
While walking around at Hougang Mall, I was hungry and craved for something light to eat. Walking on the second floor I came across Ichiban Boshi and decded to pick out my favourite sashimi sushi to eat. I chose two salmon sushi and a salmon cheese maki. It was delicious! The salmon was thick and chunky and really great for all sashimi lovers! I will definitely go there again!
There is always a long queue whenever we pass by Ichiban Sushi at Plaza Singapura. One day, we decided to try out the restaurant as we were curious why the crowd. We ordered the set which comes with chicken cheese plate with rice and soft shell crab. It costs around $20 for the meal and actually I don’t really think the food is that good.
Whenever I meet my good friend for lunch and we don\'t mind spending more on our food, we will always go to Ichiban Sushi, as both of us are fond of sushis. We went to the Clementi Mall\'s outlet since we are in Clementi. Coincidently, this is our second time here. We ordered various types of sushis - the unagi sushi is our personal favourite and a sure order dish, the seasoned octopus which my friend fancies a lot (but not me as I find it too flavourful) etc. We also a drink to share which I can\'t recall the actual name on the menu. It is a passion fruit/longan fruity soft drink. It is quite a refreshing drink to have - something more unusual from the norm.
The service is quite good, the girl who ushered us in was very polite and was all smiles, making us feel welcomed.
Ichican\'s sushi are one of my all time favourites. For $20, you get to enjoy a sumptuous meal comprising of your main course, miso soup, sides and of course fruits to top it off! Their portion is really quite big too! Look at the terriyaki chicken and cha soba set we\'ve ordered, it\'s enough to feed two people! Absolutely love their teriyaki chicken. Their sauces are neither too salty or to thick, just the right touch to leave you feeling satisfied after a nice lunch. Thumbs up for Ichiban sushi!
I like this Japanese chain restaurant more than other groups.Probably their menu is more approaching to me, they have variety of bento, udon, sushi, etc. There are so many items to choose from, it could be their variety of choices attract crowds during meal time, I usually try to avoid the peak time so that I can enjoy my meal peacefully. So far, I patronise the same chain restaurant at other locations, their service are good.
While I am dinning out alone, I normally would choose their salmon in miso soup with rice.It is really good for one person serving. They give generous fried salmon pieces, mix veggie and tofu, miso soup tastes just right, add one bowl of rice to make it a meal set.Salmon has its distinct flavour when it is cooked, it always put me off in eating it, but this one was coated with a light batter than deep fried, the distinct flavour goes off.Plus miso soup does some help in enhancing other ingredients flavour.I could finish the whole bowl and rice every time.It is a satisfying meal though.

Since young, I\'ve been visiting Ichiban Sushi(or previously known as Fiesta) at Jurong point.
Staffs are friendly, always greeting every customer with welcome in Japanese.
I love their set meals, and without failed i will always ordered their most expensive set meal consisting of sashimi, mixed tempura/fried, fish, chawanmushi, soup and rice.
They will change their menu once in awhile, so the set meals will be about the same but different combinations of fish and meat.
And i love their sushi platters!!!! The presentation is good and the sushi taste delicious.
Within minutes, the plate is completely empty!
Good quality Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price.Spending: Approximately SGD 22(Dinner)
Yes! I went back to Ichiban again! And I tried another set meal from them! Kind of determined to try all their set meals! I ordered the curry chicken one and this time round, I\'ve learnt from my previous dining experiences and I shared the set meal with a friend! Just nice for the two of us! The curry chicken here is not like any other one. There is cheese added to it! Surprisingly, the cheese actually blends in very well with the curry! The tempura was alright, just a little cold.
I like this teriyaki chicken rice don! as you can see they serve the rice with quite many pieces of teriyaki chicken. and it is sprinkled with little bit of white sesame seed for a better presentation for the dish. it is $9.90 for this ala carte item. it is served with a small bowl of miso soup. there are some small beancurd cubes and seaweed are in the miso soup. the soup and teriyaki chicken are just taste very nice!
Went to Ichiban and had their set meal again! This time round I ordered the soba set meal, thinking that the complement dish was a bowl of chicken. I got a shock when they served me my set meal as the complement dish was actually a chicken egg don! It was really really too much for a person\'s share! But both the soba and the rice was yummy! It\'ll be a perfect meal if I had shared it with a friend!
I grabbed some sushi from the takeaway kiosk at Ichiban Sushi while waiting for my boyfriend. I wasn\'t hungry actually but just thought I\'d like to get some snacks to munch on.
I got myself a salmon maki and a crabmeat maki. They were really fresh and didn\'t reek of any fishy odor. If my memory serves me right, it probably cost $0.70 for the salmon maki and $0.50 for the crabmeat maki.Spending: Approximately SGD 1.30
Yes we all love food. But don\'t you love Sushi more? On Mother\'s day, my sister and I decided to give Mommy a treat to her favourite - Sushi! All of us love Ichiban Sushi\'s Lobster Roll Sushi.
Its taste is really extraordinary. Unlike all the other sushi, we do not get sick of it! Really fabulous food. This is one of the few Sushi that is our all-time favourite. Besides that, the price is really reasonable! It\'s only about $1 if you take away. Dining in will be more expensive, naturally.
NEVERTHELESS, this is a must-try for all!
Spending: Approximately SGD 1(Lunch)
Are you very very very hungry? If you are, you should totally try the set meals at Ichiban! The serving there is really huge and definately can satisfy your big appetite! I can never finish one set meal by myself. This time round, I ordered the cheesy chicken set and its yummy! The set meal came with main course (cheesy chicken), soft shell crab as side dish, rice, miso soup, chawanmushi and a small plate of watermelon. The food is good and the environment is also very comfortable! Spending: Approximately SGD 17
My friend and I had cravings for japanese food, so we decided to dine in here for lunch. I ordered sushi off the menu while my friend had the cheesy chicken bento set. I must say the bento sets (at $15.90) are quite value for money since it comprises of fruits (oranges for that day), miso soup, chawanmushi and sashimi as well.
I had tried the chawanmushi and its was one of the best I have had - smooth egg and not too salty. Can\'t really describe the taste, but it is just very yummy. Overall, you can tell how much my friend enjoyed the set (by polishing off everything). As for the sushis, I can\'t remember the names of what I ordered, but I enjoyed the spicy unagi shiitake sushi a lot. As of the other one pictured, I can\'t quite remember the name, but it is stuffed with tempura crisps in the middle of the roll, with tako and scallop topping on top. Overall, a great lunch!
Spending: Approximately SGD 15
The sashimis and sushi were all very fresh and delicious. It consist of Ika , salmon, tuna, prawn, unagi, octopus, california maki etc. Chawanmushi is soft and smooth. Very tasty and fragrant. Everything was great except for the tofu. The tofu was okay but the toppings on top of it smells fishy. Guess it\'s some kinda fish eggs. Didn\'t like it. There\'s a plate of fruit as well. I also took home some cheese cakes! Love their cheese cake especially the pandan flavour one.
Had amaebi sushi (raw sweet prawn sushi), lobster salad sushi and soft shell crab hand roll. The prawns are fresh, sweet and soft. I don\'t even need wasabi or anything to cover any smell. Yummy! Lobster salad, it\'s a tad too strong with wasabi but nevertheless, it\'s still very delicious. The meat is very succulent and fresh. Soft shell crab is hot and crispy. Seaweed are wrapped in plastic wrapper so that it remains its freshness and crispiness. I took it away so had to wrap it myself. Didn\'t do a good job though but the hand roll is real fresh! Ichiban sushi is affordable, fresh and delicious as compared to sakae sushi etc. Definitely the best!
A typical Japanese restaurant serving sushis and ramens. The food is rather normal. It's ok to try it once in awhile, but the quality will not be enough the taste buds of hardcore Japanese food eaters.
