About Us
Roland Lim, owner of the Roland Restaurant, shares that his mother Cher Yam Tian had experimented with the best way to cook fresh crabs and married it with unique local flavours back in 1950s. The Year 1956, FOUNDER OF CHILLI CRAB, Mr. Lim Choon Ngee stated his seafood restaurant along the Kallang River with just a couple of kerosene lamps, wooden tables and stools. Seafood was cook by using open charcoal fire during that time. We served not only the finest quality food, but also the most generous helpings of food. We soon earned a reputation purely by the word of mouth. Up till today, our food consistently earns the highest praise. Spicy Fragrant Crab  Fried Crab with Salted Egg and Yam  Crab Braised with Vermicelli   Our famous Chilli crab that was created by us since 1956. Thanks to Mdm Cher we have this dish and has now become our Singapore's iconic dish.

The chili crab...and it is not hot, was delicious...soak the sauce with the bread buns...yummy!!!
