World of Warcraft - Gold Digging Practices?

By: IC

What can gold do for you? World of Warcraft fans know that just like in real life virtual playing gold can do a lot for them, it can help them get cool objects to enhance their characters and with a little help it can also help them get the right tools to advance to different levels. It is widely known that WoW players are after gold and many realized that by offering guides they could make a quick buck, however these guides often end up telling you about things you already knew.

Other guides recommend that you start your very own gold farming operation however not many people would enjoy World of Warcraft if they log into this game to "work", I mean this is a game after all, so mindless gold farming can pretty much take away the joy of it. What can you find in these guides? Some people have discussed the use of guides in WoW forums and most agree that the so called "tactics" for gold generation which are being sold in e-books can be learned within the first few hours of playing the game.

Leveling guides and gold farming guides may definitively help newbies, however if you have been playing the game for a while you know that producing gold is not easy and farming it for hours every day is not fun at all, lets provide a quick example of a gold farming task:

Taking on Frostmaul Giants:

This is no easy task right off the bat, you need to be either a Warlock or a Hunter in order to go alone and try to beat these guys, they are 59-60 elites which are located down by the Frostwhisper gorge, south of Everlook. Their drop rate is 2%, they have a frost protection recipe which can sell for around 50 gold; this might sound pretty easy to do but if you try and take one of these Yeti-like creatures you will see that things are not as easy as people make them sound.

For the most part though, gold farming is quite repetitive and can suck the fun out of the game, a quick solution is to buy gold but not from any source, focus on reliable services which have been used for a while without getting people's accounts in trouble. Enjoy the game and don't be a gold digger!
