Sony Ericsson + Microsoft=sony Ericsson Xperia X1!

By: Mark Hirst

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is the result of the latest partnership between Sony Ericsson and Microsoft. They announced their new collaboration at the 2008 World mobile Congress. All their efforts have finally paid off through the Xperia X1. So, what is the difference between the X1 and the previous Sony Ericsson and Microsoft mobile phones?
In the past though sad to say, mobile phones that have been jointly created by Sony Ericsson and Microsoft, albeit functional were really lacking in the style department. Now though, with the birth of the Xperia X1, the cooperation between the two companies has finally produced something anyone would not be ashamed to display around.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 was codenamed originally as "Venus".

It is a mobile phone, among the Sony Ericsson and Microsoft creations, that finally deserved to be described as cool. It is a touch- screen mobile device and at the same time, it has a full QWERTY keyboard. The design of this phone is an arc slide one. Once you slide the screen upwards, the keyboard can be found beneath it. The body is not the only thing that has been improved but the interface as well.
The menu system is highly colorful. The display of menus consists of nine applications, displayed as thumbnails. Aside from being cool- looking and being attractive, the Xperia X1 also has a hefty list of features. It has A- GPS, quad- band roaming, and 3.2 Megapixel camera. Moreover, it has plenty of entertainment options, music ad videos to name a few. Organization features are also packed within this handset. Another worth mentioning is the MicroSD card support. Previous Sony Ericsson mobile phones have slots for the M2 memory stick patented by Sony. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is definitely a mobile phone to watch out for!
