Why is it that children can't wait to grow up so they can make there own choices, and adults wish they were kids again so they would have more fun? If you're like me, when I was a young adult, I hoped for the day I could drive my own car and move out of my parent's house. I didn't realize the incredible responsibilities both of those milestones brought with them. I thought having a full time job was the answer to not having money to spend on the things I wanted, but with a full time job comes more responsibilities. I wanted to get married and have kids, and on came even more responsibilities.
When I found myself lost in my responsibilities, I was a 28 year old stay at home mom with a husband and 2 kids. Don't get me wrong, it had nothing to do with my love for my family, it had everything to do with my love for me. I wasn't giving myself permission to be my TRUE self. Are you giving yourself permission to be the REAL you?
Sit down and think about it. ?
* What was your favorite thing to do when you were a small child? Was it having a tea party with your friends, playing with the family dog or swimming or riding your bike? ?
* What were your favorite activities as a teenager? Did you play sports in school or did you excel in a certain class, enjoy dancing or music? ?
* Were there any groups you were involved in when you were a young adult? Maybe a church choir, scouts or a civic group? ?
* If you work out of the home, do you LOVE your JOB? Is it advancing your life towards your goals or merely putting bread on the table? ?
What do you enjoy most about your life now? Focus on what you enjoy, not on what you DON'T like. Now, take these great memories and incorporate them into you life today. Unfortunately most people live a life based on REACTING to their situation rather than truly DIRECTING their life towards their passion or goals. I have taken steps to evaluate myself and have made changes for a more fulfilled life.
Because of my love to competitive swimming as a young child and into my adult college years, I have volunteered to help coach our city swim team. Both my children participate in this sport and this way I can be involved with them at the same time. I make the most out of my time with my kids and show them all the amazing things their ?MOM? knows.
I have recently started a Home Based Business that allows me to work very closely with my mother-in-law. This gives me the flexibility to work around my family's schedule, and also gives me the adult interaction that I was missing in my life. We conduct classes in my home and teach people how EASY it is to make an All Natural Product. They can learn a FUN craft at the same time have an opportunity to earn a great income.
After exhausting many possibilities, making this All Natural Product has been an eye opening experience for me and I LOVE sharing this with others. My personal growth from teaching and connecting with others is just what I was searching for and has made my life more complete!
