Zouk Out Party

ZoukOut’s really never just about the music. Sure, you will have all the names there. Names that are as good as the who’s who list of hard core entertainment. Names such as Ferry Corsten, one of the world’s top DJs, Steven Lawler, a major player for dance music and the Cuban Brothers, who recently rocked the house down with their beats and their comic performances.

Besides the music, another attraction this year will be the collaboration with RESFEST to complement your audio pleasure with visual enticement. As part of their anniversary celebration, RESFEST will showcase 90-minutes of only the greatest, most seminal short films from the festival’s 10-year history. Expect to catch Stefan Nadelman’s Terminal Bar, and the fascinating exploration of painstaking artistic processes in David Ellis’ Letter to the President. Culturally enriching, the screenings will run from 8.30pm to 10 pm on the fateful day.

Naturally, what’s a carnival with the food, fun and madness? ZoukOut 2006 will once again have a sumptuous spread to make sure that nobody drinks on an empty stomach. We know how nasty that can get. On top of that, there will be free gaming, carnival rides and drumming lessons to keep you on your feet. All you have to do is to make sure you get your body into bare-worthy status. Everything else has been planned.

Of course, having established itself as the event to be at every year, Zouk’s attraction goes beyond local shores. People throng our islands just to be a part of this magical festival of good vibes and even better music. Nothing is spared of the potency of ZoukOut. Not even Sentosa. This island known for its family fun is going to turn into one hell of an international moshpit.

Zoukout is held at Siloso Beach @ Sentosa.
