Nothing can be less attractive to a website visitor then when they see an “Under Construction – check back March 2001” message on your website – when it's 2007. This shows complete lack of professionalism and experience - if this describes your website, you are losing money as you read. There is an easy way for you to update your website at anytime, keeping your website up to date with fresh content will impress your website visitors and improve your Google Page Rank.

The Problem

The problem is that you are good at what you do. You are busy making money, pricing jobs, invoicing customers, collecting payments, making deal – the important stuff to keep your business alive.

Finding someone to update your “News” page weekly or your “Products” page when you get new products is not your top priority.

Taking the time to learn how to edit HTML then upload the files to your web server is not what you need to be doing – it is not your core competency.

The Possible Solution

Since the internet is not what you do, (in the past) you would need to hire a web design company/programmer to update your website for you. This is a time consuming and expensive process; here is how to do it:

1. Find 5 web design company/programmer in your area

2. Call and interview each one of them

3. View past website updating projects that are similar to yours

4. Contact the clients and learn about their experience with the company

5. Compare the 5 for the best fit for your needs

6. Pay between $45 – 150 per hour for updates to your website

There is an easier and less expensive way.

The Best Solution - Efficiency

The best solution to having an up to date website is to have the tool be able to update website content yourself at any time form any computer in less than 2 minutes. I am not talking about learning HTML. I am talking about a new service called an online website editor.

An online website editor does just that – it allows you to login to your website from any browser (office PC, laptop on the beach, home computer) and make changes to your website instantly.

Online website editor (sometime called wysiwyg editors) have editing features similar to that of Microsoft Word. You'll feel right at home using commands such as Bold, Underline, Text Color, Add an Image, etc…

When you log into a website editor you will see your website with certain area outlined in blue – these are called editable regions. Editable regions are important because they make sure you don't break certain parts of your website (such as the navigation and basic layout). Editable regions give you access to the parts of your website that you need (the content area where the bulk of the words and pictures are) while restricting editing from all other areas.

The best way to see how it works is to take an online demo right now.

The Best Solution – Price

An online website editor costs $19.95 per month for a website with 15 pages. This is usually enough for most small businesses. Compare $19.95 per month to the $45 – 150 PER HOUR you'll spend on a web design company to do it for you. Keep in mind that you can edit your website all day, everyday for a month for just $19.95. The difference is clear.

Go for it!

You can turn your website into something you proud of, as opposed to something you are unsure of. You can take your static website and turn it into a dynamic representation of your business for all people over the world to experience. You can do it all very quickly and for just $19.95 per month.
