Air cleaner is a device used to remove solid air particles such as dust, molds, pollens and bacteria's from the air. Air cleaners are used in an enclosed environment that uses aircon's, such as aircrafts, building ventilation system, offices; hotel's and other man made enclosed facilities and environments. Another use of air cleaners is in engines like gas compressors, diving compressors, internal combustion engines and gas turbine to name a few. Air cleaners are found in almost all forced – air heating system, ventilation and air conditioning units. The air cleaners in these units are found to be significantly important in cleaning and maintaining the quality of air indoors.

Air cleaner that is found inside an internal combustion engines prevents abrasive particulate from penetrating the engine's cylinders, where it can cause mechanical problems and oil contamination. Fuel injected vehicles use a pleated paper filter to trap and filter elements. This air cleaner is usually located near the throttle body of the engine with the intake manifold tubes. An older vehicle uses carburetors, or cylindrical air cleaner systems most often they are incorporated in the ducting unit to provide cool or warm air inlet. And without this air cleaner the car engine or if your car air filters becomes too dirty or clogged, your car engine could not get enough air that is needed for combustion. When then happens your car may lose power, run roughly or stop functioning at the same time. While permanent damage is a rarity, cleaning or replacing the air cleaners in your is a must to keep the engine running smoothly.

On the other hand sir cleaners have become significant fixtures in homes, office and buildings that usually use air conditioning units to clean the air circulating around the area. It is sad but true that the air we breathe has become more and more polluted and Statistics show that there is an increase rate of people suffering from asthma, lung diseases and illnesses, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and other respiratory problems. That is why nowadays we rely on these devices to clean the air around us. Air cleaners provide an efficient way to filter out pollens, dust particles, animal dander's, harmful fumes and odors antigens, bacteria, mold and viruses that can cause illness and diseases. Without these air cleaners, indoor air are five times more hazardous to the health of the individuals inside the area. This is because air that is circulating inside the area could not be expelled outside therefore bacteria's molds, antigens and viruses are trapped and are inhaled by the people. With the help of air cleaners in this confined areas these particles are eliminated and destroyed in turn giving out clean air for breathing. An air cleaner that is found to be effective for home and commercial use is the air cleaner that has High Efficiency Particulate Arresting air cleaners this technology are able to remove and absorb 99.7% of harmful substances in the air. Air cleaners are easy to use and maintain. Air cleaners helps us to free ourselves of pollutants that our bodies simply cannot free itself.
