Avoid growing too fast. This has to do with controlling the business by not adding overhead even though the demands for your business increase dramatically. Do not add staffing unless it is on the sales or business development side. Find ways to contract out any help that you need. There are good online services that fit this need very well. You can hire a Virtual Assistant, or VA as they are known through various websites.

Implement systems that help you, not ones that add to your work load. One thing you must look into in order to help with business tasks and growth is a toll-free 800 number and associated PBX system. This will help you increase your business by allowing potential customers to contact you at no charge, and your existing clients to do the same.

Not only that, but you will have a complete communications system in place which will give you the ability to let your callers route their own calls based on need, or choose any number of information and/or Q&A extensions which provides pre-sales or support information.

This is invaluable, because it keeps you from having to answer every phone call, which steals away your productivity. You are in control by being able to schedule regular times to check for messages during your busy day.

Also, you will be able to grow your business with a system in place that will grow with you. Extensions are easy to add, and call routing is a snap. You will wonder how you ever operated your business without a PBX system in place. It becomes your business partner and ‘face' of your business to your callers.

Do business around the world. When you are in business and have a presence on the Internet, you will automatically see interest from foreign prospects. Your PBX system takes calls 24x7 which allows you to keep your “open for business” sign turned on all day long.

Raise your customer service satisfaction rate. The pulse of how your business is doing is found in your sales numbers, but a good pre-success indicator is in the communications that you receive from your prospects. Make it easy for them to leave feedback with your PBX system.

Voice mailboxes are good, but ‘follow-me' call routing is better. Customers know that leaving messages is a part of doing business in today's world. But, you can add a feature that will help them get the assistance that they need before resorting to a voice mailbox option. This is called ‘follow-me' call routing. If an extension is not answered it can be programmed to route to another extension, then a cell phone number, a home or other external phone number and finally, a voice mailbox. This sends the message that their calls are important and will be answered at any cost.

Build your world-class business with the help of an 800 number and PBX system today.
