Celebrities are a great way to draw attention to charitable causes. Public figures are very good at drawing attention to an organization’s mission and giving a boost to fund-rising efforts. Now more and more celebrities are actively involved in different charity events and helping charities has become a trend among stars.

When people come to charity events and they see a celebrity involved in that event, they want to know more about that event and support the cause. Celebrities’ involvement in charities has echoed a lot in the society and many are realising it. There are mainly two reasons behind their support. One is-because of million people’s support, they are successful, and they have name and fame, so it is their responsibility to repay by contributing to the society. Another reason is- this charity work helps them in long term socially and economically. More people will recognize them and love them through their work. This is the reason why despite their busy schedule, more and more celebrities are actively getting involved in different charitable activities.

Due to celebrities’ involvement, both celebrities and charities equally get popularity and fame. While celebrities satisfy their desire to help society, the charities, on the other hand, enjoys greater visibility, more participation and good amount of donation.

The benefits, charities enjoy are-

1.Celebrities’ participation attracts masses.

2.Raises funds by sponsorship and contribution

3.Raises an organization’s profile and media coverage

4.Increases public involvement

5.Spreading awareness about the organization

6.Increases visibility among others.

Though some criticize that celebrities attend charity events for show and publicity, there is no denying that their presence influences people to take part and their good deeds raise awareness. They not only offer their help, but also tell ordinary people to join in volunteer efforts and that is actually charity in real sense.
