He is the “slim and shady” white guy of rap, an anomaly, it seems, in the hip-hop genre, but not unheard of. Eminem was the surprise success, pulled from the suburbs of Michigan by rapping mogul Dr. Dre. In fact, when the good doctor first heard Marshall Bruce Mathers III on a mixed demo tape, he was convinced that he was black, then in walks a tall, skinny white guy with blond hair. With his voice, lyrics, and rappin' beats, Dr. Dre was impressed enough to have him signed to his record label Aftermath Entertainment. Thus began the world's love-hate relationship with the bad-mouthing, trash talking addition to the rap industry. The most recent news regarding our beloved bad boy rapper is that he and 50 Cent are teaming up on the airwaves. The Shady/G-Unit team has been an ongoing collaboration for some time now, but the two partners in rhyme are now set to share space again when 50's new radio series debut on Eminem's Shade 45 Sirius XM radio channel. G-Unit Sundays is a brand new program that is scheduled to occupy air time on Shade 45 every Sunday from 4:00-8:00 EST. The kick off show will be hosted by our man 50 and will re-air throughout the week for those who missed out the first time around. Both rappers have dominated the rap industry since they first appeared on the scene, and a pair of Eminem tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/eminem-tickets are certainly a must-have if you are a true rap fan.

Slim Shady, as he is also known, has gone after numerous rappers and celebrities alike. No one escapes the wrath, the ongoing editorial just flowing from his mouth. Britney's got hit a few times, as well as Christina Aguilera, Moby and the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson. Most did not take too kindly to Shady's choice words of description as to their characters. Yet Eminem has gone the extra mile and made amends with most of alienated stars. Proof that even the one who throws the most sticks and stones can repair bones.

Eminem may be surrounded by controversy wherever he goes, not uncommon among rappers to begin with, but he certainly has been considered the “Best Rapper Alive” by Vibe Magazine. He has been the recipient of numerous Grammy Awards and made the top ten in MTV's list of The Greatest MCs of All Time as well as achieved the number 13 spot on MTV's 22 Greatest Voices in Music. His album The Marshall Mathers LP became the fastest selling hip-hop album in history. All of this accomplished by someone who had been abandoned by his father at birth and whose mother constantly traveled around, relocating to new homes. His troubled youth led him to drop out of high school at age 17. But Eminem is no ordinary person and for that matter, no ordinary rapper. The real Slim Shady is here and he is standing up.
