In a recent announcement, the Manchester-based company Unicom has announced that they will be increasing the intensity of their graduate recruitment to fill needed management trainee positions. Graduates of sales, management, and administration programs throughout the United Kingdom will have the opportunity to apply with Unicom for a one year management training program beginning in January 2007. Unicom provides a variety of important technology services, including telecommunications, broadband Internet, and website design.

Unicom is hiring a dozen skilled and motivated management trainees to help run new offices throughout the United Kingdom. The Unicom one year management training program is similar to programs in other telecommunications firms in that it provides a comprehensive look at all aspects of the company for its trainees. As such, graduates are not only given the skills they need to succeed as managers in the Unicom environment but a look at how every department is integrated toward the same goal. This Unicom graduate program provides a look at the business from all angles, making their managers more marketable and versatile for potential advancement down the road.

While analysis and understanding of Unicom's various departments are an important part of the graduate training program, management trainees are required to work in all of the major departments in the company. The trainees first go through the customer service department, which is the cornerstone of Unicom's business and public profile. Whether it is working with a major client or an individual who is contracting web design, trainees learn how to deal effectively with Unicom's valued customers.
