For the many visitors who come to Thailand, it is traditional for them to visit Pattaya, the famous city located in the eastern region. It has a great reputation for its beaches and nightlife. Naturally, when you decide to travel to a place which has such a great reputation, there will be plenty of different types of accommodation to choose from, and Pattaya is no exception. You can choose from very cheap guest houses to luxurious five star hotels.

However, the one question that has been raised is about how to get the best price or the best deal when it comes to accommodation. Most people today, who want to book a hotel, think about booking online. Booking online is the most convenient way for people today. However, there is a very strong competitive element in this market, so you must be careful when selecting your hotel accommodation, as well as the website agent for your travel and any other accommodation booking.

Pattaya is similar to other cities in that due to the high tourist attraction there is a large number of hotels. Therefore, it is necessary to find the best way to get the best deal for your hotel accommodation. In Thailand, from my own experience, it is quite normal for a travel agency to usually offer a lower price than that offered on the internet. This is partly due to the fact that most people today are using the internet to make their own travel arrangements. Some of the websites have a global network and so are not as cheap. It is still vital to find a reliable travel agent or hotel booking agent that you can trust.

Pattaya is a major attraction for travelers, so the accommodation varies. However, it is difficult for international guests to contact local travel agents, so they will tend to use the internet booking service from international suppliers. Those who may already have a contact with a local travel agent can get a cheaper rate.

The hotel rates in Pattaya are also dependent on the location. If it is located on the beach side the price is going to be higher than hotels in the city. If you decide to book your hotel through a website, just looking for the website that is able to provide the full address and a location map of the hotel will help you to compare the price versus the location of the hotel.

Another thing that you have to be aware of when choosing your resource for your hotel booking is that sometimes the rate from the website is not the same rate that the hotel charges. For example, one guest booked online for USD 150, but on checking out of the hotel was told that the online company had to pay USD 170 to the hotel, and this guest had to then make up the difference.

The moral of the online booking story is 'shop around' and compare prices.
