Ask yourself honestly, how judgemental are you? Notice what material things and circumstances you are attracting into your life as a result. How free do you feel to be, do, or behave, as you wish? (only as free as you allow others to be?)



In a way, we MUST judge others to some extent. During daily life our mind constantly compares what we observe to the learnings we already have, at an automatic unconscious level. Otherwise we would have to relearn the world afresh everyday, resulting in total overwhelm. Even from an evolutionary survival point of view, we must automate as much of our thinking as possible, to leave most of our conscious resources free for predators, survival-level threats, etc.

So it is natural, and unavoidable. But the real question is ? are your judgements of others useful? Do they allow YOU to be as flexible, impulsive, or creative as you wish? As you could be?

You see, inherent in the belief that things (or people) must be a certain way, is the belief that they are not worthy of love, unless they are that way. Think about it. Our judgements of others only illustrate the box we keep ourselves in. As we judge others, we look into the ?mirror of judgements.? The belief is that if we did what they did, then we too would be unworthy of love.

Clearly we can only have adopted such a perspective today, by learning those rules from others in the past, taking them on, and practising them ourselves. Yet those learnings don't have to be the result of direct emotional trauma, it can simply be the result of what we've observed in others, over months or years. If you grew up in garlic soup, chances are you now smell of garlic. And, Radio Resentment FM may be the station your parents, grandparents, or teachers tuned in to, but you have your own radio, with its own tuner, do you not?

Releasing past resentments, shame, frustration, and blame is the only real way to break through old comfort zones, and raise the energy of your current day-to-day existence. Ask yourself: How do you know that it's not OK to do X? Or to be like Y? Who told you so? From what specific memories did you draw that conclusion?
