If you are facing the daunting prospect of having your home repossessed, action needs be taken as quickly as possible. In this current economic climate, people are facing financial strife as unemployment rises and income becomes tighter. Unfortunately if this has sadly happened to you, you may be facing repossession. Repossession brings many damaging consequences; your credit rating will fall making future borrowing more difficult plus the emotional and physical loss of having to give up your home and move elsewhere. Do not fear however as help is at hand. Time is critical especially if you find yourself already in arrears or the lender has begun to issue court proceedings. Unfortunately the possible options are limited yet doing nothing is not a feasible alternative; there are different choices which could save you from repossession.

One such option is to sell your house however if you decide to sell through an estate agent you must leave your home as the agent will want to sell quickly and doesn't wish to wait until you relocate.

Alternatively you could sell your home to a company that will buy your home and then offers you the chance to rent your house back. Thus you could save yourself from repossession yet remain in your home and have the opportunity to purchase your house back in the future if your financial situation improved. The monthly rent and buy-back price would be discussed at the time of the house sale with the buyer. If this is your preferred option, you should firstly contact a specialist company who offer this service of buying your house and renting it back. We ourselves offer such a service and if you choose us, you can apply online and you only need to input a few details regarding the area you currently live in, what type of property is your house and its current market value. From these details we can verbally provide you with an approximate guide as to how much we would be willing to buy your house for. If these estimates are to both the seller and buyer's approval, the next step is that we will send out a surveyor to value your house and we will provide further information regarding the upcoming sale. Then all being well and after the valuation we would proceed to start the sale and offer advice if you find yourself in the midst of court proceedings.
