It's common to be so happy to be getting back together after a break up; you fail to ask yourself those tough questions. What questions you ask? Questions like:



1. Why did this relationship end to begin with

2. What did I do to contribute to it

3. Was I insensitive and uncaring? If so, how

4. Am I too needy, clingy or obsessive? If so, how can I change

5. Did my attitude, actions or behavior embarrass my ex? If so, what can I do differently this time?

6. Did I go out of my way to make my ex feel loved? If so, in what ways? If not, what strategies can I employ?

These questions are important to ponder because I'm sure your ex has secretly asked those questions concerning you. Before your ex agrees to take you back, they want and need assurance that things will be different this time. If you can't offer that reassurance, why should they take you back? No one wants more and more of the same bad situation. Feelings of love are only important when both parties are equally doing their parts.

I am not suggesting that the break up was only one sided. I'm just saying that to win your ex back, they need to trust that you are at least willing to do things differently this time.

It is best to talk with your ex before you reconcile the relationship. Find out firsthand what are the issues that most concerns them. The two of you need to work together in the spirit of harmony. The two of you working together is the only way to guarantee success in your relationship. I you really want to get your ex back, you must examine everything you did right in your relationship, everything you did wrong, and what things you commit to doing when you do get back together.
