Since its inception, the TV has been a big part of most Americans lives. The first programming on TV was news and situational, live comedy from the likes of Bob Hope, Red Skelton and "The Great One", Jackie Gleason, among so many other talented people who came right over from live radio. So much of what they did is lost to history forever, but some was filmed and can still be seen to this day.

Recording in those days was not as easy as it is now and unlike back then, the technology to record TV programming is so much easier for the average person to get ahold of. Just think of all the great old programming we would have today if just about anyone could record TV programming back then, like they can now. Dish Network makes it all seem so simple now with their top of the line, state of the art, Hughes satellite TV receivers with built in digital video recording function.

If only some of the greats from the good old days, like Phillis Diller or Milton Berle could come back for just one more night on Dish Network, for the whole world to see and record on their digital video recorders, what a great thing that would be. It wont ever happen, but you can have a great time recording all your favorite programming that Dish Network has for you today.

Alot more programming has been added since back then, so you get more than just the news and situational comedy on Dish Network. Dish Network has the most channels of any programming provider in standard, cable and satellite TV service. In fact they have over two-hundred and fifty channels of great programming for you to record, if you want to. The Dish Network digital video recorder holds a total of one-hundred hours of recording in its memory, so wont have to worry about running out of time.

It is also loaded with alot of other great features that you can use when your watching TV. Automatic programming search function lets you search for and find any of your favorite programming, by name or by the name of an actor in the program in just seconds. You just enter the name and press the button and there is the day and time of the program you were searching for.

Then you simply click the one touch record function and it does all the rest from then on, even while you are away, or watching something else. Then there is the one touch stop and pause and rewind function along with the instant replay feature, that anyone will use while watching the great sports programming you will be getting in any one of Dish Networks stellar programming packages.

All their programming paks come with a great mix of programming, so everyone will find great programming that they will want to record. Make sure that you have the most programming available to you, when you sign up for satellite TV, so you wont miss out on anything that you like. You can do that by joining Dish Networks family of TV viewers and you will be sure to have the most programming available to you.
