Herpes outbreaks are blisters that can be found on the genitals or around the pubic areas. When the outbreaks are finished the virus lies dormant in the nerves, until the immune system weakens, causing another outbreak. This is why it is proving so difficult to find a herpes cure, it does not live in the cells it hides in the nerves when dormant.

A Cure For Herpes Studies

Currently many people are researching to try to find a herpes cure. However right now the only form of medication is that which helps suppress the herpes outbreaks and topical treatments to kill the virus once an outbreak occurs.

Many people wonder if the medical industry is actually making any progress to find a cure for herpes. In reality this virus is going to be very hard to cure, because it is a virus. Typically we have to rely on our bodies to kill these viruses. So when talking about herpes, when our bodies go to fight the infection, the virus beats a hastyretreat into the nerve endings and lies dormant. It is safe there from attacks by the immune system , and the only time that it reappears is when another herpes outbreak happens.

Herpes Cure Medicines

Although there is no herpes cure, the herpes outbreaks can be suppressed with some of the anti-viral mediactions available. There is also not a vaccine that can effect a cure for the herpes virus.

There is not a herpes cure, but precautions do work...

Just using some common sense will help to ensure you don't come into contact with this incurable virus. Always have protected sex. This is not infallible but will help in most cases.

Also oral sex is another primary source of herpes infection. Oral infections on the inside of the mouth are happening more and more every day. So when any oral sexual activity is being considered one could also use some form of protection as well. Again, the protection is not a cure for herpes but it greatly reduces the risk of becoming infected.

Abstinence is the only way to not get infected from any form of sexual intercourse.
