Snoopys Reunion on DVD is now available for lovers of the Peanuts Gang to add to their home collection. Originally airing on CBS on May 1, 1991, it was one of the prime time animated specials that was part of the popular comic strip series. Charles M. Schulz, the infamous creator of the Peanuts Gang, has inspired millions with his gang.



In this particular special, Charlie Browns beloved dog is homesick and is missing his family from the days when he had been at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. Snoopy gets help from Charlie Brown in organizing a reunion with some of the puppys siblings. Although many Peanuts fans had never heard of these siblings, their names are Marbles, Rover, Belle, Spike, Molly, Andy, and Olaf. When the friends arrive at the puppy farm, they find that a parking garage has been built over the grounds that used to be the puppy farm. Even though the puppy farm is not as it used to be, the reunion is still held and is everything that the puppies had hoped it would be.

The family of dogs plays their little musical instruments and dance the day away, having a great time. The moral of the little show is that they are happy enough to be standing on the sidewalk in front of the parking garage, as long as they are together. The siblings of Snoopys Reunion on DVD are what really hold the attention of many viewers since most have never heard much about where Snoopy had come from or what his background was. However, five of those siblings had appeared during different times in some of Schulzs comic strips. The character Lila is also made reference to in this special, and this is the second time that we hear of her. The first time that we hear of Lila is in the special Snoopy Come Home.

The siblings Molly and Rover were created for Snoopys Reunion, although Schulz didnt ever really consider material from the TV specials to coincide with his world that he created in the comic strips. Although siblings had been mentioned many times previously, Molly and Rover had never been mentioned. Snoopy Come Home includes many aspects that had been mentioned in it that were specifically rewritten for the television special Snoopys Reunion on DVD. One example involves Charlie Brown and Linus. Charlie Brown explains at one point to his friend that during his childhood, he had a big bucket full of sand dumped over his head. Charlie Browns parents took him to the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm to buy a new best friend. In Snoopy Come Home Linus telephones the farm and finds that Snoopy belonged to Lila. In Snoopys Reunion on DVD, the friends find written records on a desk that state that Snoopys former owner was Lila. Even though the friends are seen discovering for the first time about Snoopy, it is in Snoopys Reunion on DVD that fans appreciate the full extent of it all.
