One can't possibly understand the beauty that lies in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Hilton Head, South Carolina scenery is beyond normal living quality and, with the quantity of things to do, makes the perfect place to both visit and live. I love it and always will. Twelve miles of white sandy beaches bordering the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The golf courses are part of the beauty in themselves, hosting the ever-popular PGA MCI Heritage Classic along witha few other high-profile events. Hilton Head, South Carolina is home to some of the best golf in the world. All courses run through both thick pines,gorgeous beach overlooks and resort views. Over 300 clay and grass tennis courts, with many being professional also make Hilton Head a hotbed for tennis enthusiasts.

Food is unimaginable on the island. If I had to pick a favorite place to chow down, it would have to be It's Greek To Me for their Spanikopita (if I'm in a hurry) or Michael Anthony's for the duck if I'm dining in. In all honesty, I've never found a place I wouldn't go back to again. With so many varities it's hard to choose a favorite.

Hilton Head nightlife for such a small place has a big city feel combined with rural warmth. Visitors always feel welcome in the clubs. And if your night out doesn't involve dancing, a calming walk on the beach guided by the white of the moon and the sounds of the sea can be just as invigorating.

Riding a bicycle across the island is probably your best bet to experience as much as you can in a day. Under the palm and pine trees, you will embark in the abundant shopping, perfectly crowded beaches, pleasant visitors, and wonderfully designed resorts. You can't move through the island without running into a bicycle path. It can even be the best setting to exchange nuptuals and definitely a great area for the little ones.

With an obsurd amount to do and an obsurd amount to view during a stay, you will just have to come back again and again. Roughly 2 and a half million visitors to the island between May and September can't all be wrong. Hilton Head, South Carolina is one unique island to see and an even better island to live.

First time visitors should also keep in mind that area restaurants tend to fill up fast, but that the wait is more than well worth it. In fact, you can usually tell which restaurants are the best by the amount of people waiting for a table during peak hours. The good news is that many restaurants offer waiting diners complimentary coffee, water, other beverages, and snacks in the mean time.

When you are shown to a table, make sure to take your time to enjoy the atmosphere and relax with your family and friends after a long day of fun Hilton Head activities.

For an old fashioned family breakfast, try Stacks Pancakes And More. Their pancake batters contain only pure whipping cream and 93 score butter. The restaurant grinds their own coffee and wheat flour, and their extensive menu also includes lunch entrees.

One popular favorite Hilton Head restaurant with a unique twist is Frankie Bones. This diner features big booths, soft lighting, and a wide range of comfort foods, including Frankies Lobster Mac and Cheese, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood dishes, spaghetti and meatballs, and an extensive bar menu, featuring champagne Bellinis, and both classic and original martinis. A children's menu and takeout dining are also available.

For upscale dining on Hilton Head, the Palmetto Dunes Resort is a classic choice. Alexander's has been a local favorite since 1977, serving continental cuisine, and with spectacular views of the nearby lagoon, a meal here is definitely a unique experience. The decor includes Oriental carpets, wicker furniture and a truly unique collection of vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles, courtesy of the private collection of the restaurants owner.

There are many other great Hilton Head restaurants to choose from, no matter which type of cuisine you crave. Just be sure to take a tip from the locals and call ahead, especially during peak tourist season, when the restaurants see their largest crowds. With so many options, you are sure to have enough dining experiences for more than one vacation, which is one of the many reasons why an estimated 2.5 million people visit Hilton Head each year.
