The reason is simple really - there are more players in World of Warcraft on Friday evenings and all day and night on Saturday than any other day of the week. There is usually increased activity on Sunday as well, but this starts to die off towards the evening as everyone logs off to make sure they are prepared for school or work on Monday.
Since not everyone can spend time playing WoW on weekdays, you will find a lot of players who need to make up for lost time leveling will be looking to purchase items that will help them skill-up. Or they might need specific ingredients for recipes, or want to upgrade armor, for more details visit to www.auction-words.com etc. And for the most part, demand increases more than supply though this will ebb and flow over the weekend. For example, as raiding really gets going during the evening, you'll find traffic in the Auction House fades out considerably. This would not be a good time to sell. Best bet is the post-dinner hours when people are just getting home from work.
There are two ways to take advantage of the increased weekend business. One is easy and the other is a bit riskier, but may be worth pursuing if you play quite a bit on weekdays. The easy bit is to simply hold all of your best stuff picked up while questing for the weekend. If you have mats, for more details visit to www.auction-professional.com cloth, leather, and essences that you need to get rid off, mail them off to your Alt character (you have one of those, right?) and then handle your auction house transactions on the weekend.
The other method of taking advantage of the weekend traffic is to buy stuff during the week that you can sell for higher prices on the weekend. Now this is going to take a bit of patience to do successfully, but if you are logged into World of Warcraft often enough during the week, it isn't too difficult to keep track of prices of popular items in the AH and pick up some bargains that you can get better prices for on Friday night.
How To Auction House
World of Warcraft economy doesn't work like that of the real world. Though it's very common to assume that it does, because of the similarities of buying low and selling high. It's actually a bit more convenient for merchants.
With this common mistake comes the most common Auction House blunder: Selling your items for a lower price, and selling them all at once.
This happens because most people assume that if their prices are lower, it means that their item will automatically get more bids or sell faster. It doesn't work that way! There are only a couple of important factors in making a good Auction House killing instead of "Killing" the Auction house:
* The item you are selling
* Is it morning or afternoon? Is the server crowded at this time or not?
* The server you are on
Pricing your item comes last in priority, it's not a question of how low you go but how balanced your price is. They key to selling your item is knowing how to balance so that you make a good profit, and still actually sell your item.
Nothing is more disgruntling to an Auction House person such as myself than to see certain items selling for 5 times lower than the amount it would normally and reasonably sell for. There have been many situations where I have wanted to sell my item in the Auction House, only to find out that first, someone beat me to it, and second, they're totally ripping themselves off because of their incredibly low prices!
When faced by this abominable prices, my first instinct would be to sell for a bit lower than my usual price, but I have quickly come to realize that I'm also helping these people who have no clue, to kill the market! So what I do now is buy all their stuff, and sell them at my usual prices. They DO sell, and I still get my profit!
The price doesn't change anything, as long as it's the acceptable market price I can guarantee you that it will sell. Lowering your prices only lowers the market value of the item, and the demand for it. You end up doing more harm to the market and to yourself.
Save yourself the trouble and don't sell your items low. "Go for the gold" and earn maximum profits from your items!
