Who am I talking about and what is their secret?

First let's look their secret. This award-winning group has the nostalgia of nearly 40 years together. They have a dedicated fan base that continues to play their music and remembers the good times past.

This group has taken the natural curiosity fans have had and provided a memoir to satisfy the curiosity many have had over the collective events that took place and were never shared with the public.

In essence this group took their accumulated knowledge and sold their experience to a public willing to pay for the knowledge.

Today as financial difficulties loom large there are a group of individuals who are attempting to learn new things in an effort to save money. From a practical standpoint these are potential fans who are looking for someone to share their past experiences in the field of expertise they need and help them get the job done for less than it would take to hire someone to do it for them.

You can be the designer of a practical ebook that can assist others in moving forward in a discipline in which you are already an expert. The real beauty of this idea is that if you already provide a service that takes care of this issue you can effectively use the Internet to reach out to information consumers outside your region.

Many individuals find success in making their expertise available as a paid consultant. Your knowledge has value and that value can extend well beyond the town or city in which you live.

Learn to market your experience and you may find that there is a great interest in what you have to offer. Why? None of us are skilled in every discipline. If you can provide the information a potential customer needs to get the basic understanding of a particular skill that client may be able to confidentially learn a skill and use that talent to either help them complete a project or perhaps to further their own marketable abilities.

Did you catch that? You might actually be helping others to find a better lifestyle for their family. They might be able to earn more money, develop new skills and pay off debt. Why? You selflessly offered them the opportunity to invest in their own future by learning a new skill – one you can offer.

Ebooks are a great vehicle for this knowledge because it can be delivered automatically upon payment and doesn't preclude you from being able to engage in life without being tied to a desk.

Consultancy can take you away from family and friends from time to time, but it can also provide a great secondary means of taking your knowledge and turning it into capital.

Oh, and the group that inspired this bit of useful information – The Statler Brothers. Homespun wisdom for their fans and encouragement to others who have information to share with hungry consumers.
