Third type is similar to the skilled-base character but instead of selecting certain abilities the player will select a list of skills. Also the combination of all three common styles does exist.

As much as this sounds easy there is a risk in between, because if the character is created too powerful the game will be easy with no challenges, on the other hand if the created character is too weak the game will be very difficult and on both ways the game will be less fun.

But the most important thing to put in consideration is that creating certain character options that are more powerful than other options which will prevent players from enjoying the kinds of characters they desire to play with.

The skills system is the most versatile option which risks the balance the most too but the abilities system holds to an average point.

If you're asking for the solution, the solution is in creating a balanced system somewhere between the skills and abilities systems.

Also the character detail is very important its not enough for players to be able to fight and defeat with the character he choose its also important for him to know his physical appearance, nature, personality, history and points of both weakness and strength.

The power and weapons are included to the character details as the player needs to know what powers, weapons and spells can his warrior use and do.

Character details isnt something easy to create as if you create a lot of details delay might happen and the player may get lost also if you dont put enough details the player may loose or get lost.

To avoid this its better for you to always give the player the option if using or not using any option he likes, let him create his character or describe it but dont let that give the character more potentials, for more special powers give the player the ability of customizing them meaning let him use them whenever he likes and ignore them whenever he likes and dont forget the non combat action too they are also important.

Now a days the biggest buzz people are talking about and getting crazy over is online games, they are easier time saving and faster than computer games as you can still use the computer and internet when playing, they dont require high definition system software or any complicated stuff although some sophisticated strategic games needs updated strong plug ins.
