Learn How To Shake

    View:
The first step is to listen to all kind of music. From pop songs, ballads, hip-hop, and even rock music. Don't limit yourself with a single genre; the more, the better singing styles you can learn.

Some of us would hum when we are in the shower or preparing dinner. Instinctively, when we hear familiar songs, we hum it silently in our head. Did you know that humming is one good example of a singing practice?

Well, nearly everyone of us likes to sing; in karaoke bars or in the confinement of our home. Some would consider enhancing their singing skills but some opt to ignore the skill that they have. Some say that we don't need singing lessons when we are not interested in breaking in the music industry. But I would say that they are wrong about it.

First, you don't have to aspire to be the next American Idol to have singing lessons. When you love to sing and you want to improve your singing abilities, no one can tell you to stop. Singing is a passion; to some, it fills the missing piece in them. If you will feel fulfilled and pleased when you sing, do it, not for others, but for yourself.

Decide on the kind of music that you would want to learn, of what you liked best. If you prefer rock music to ballad, or pop music to death metal, it's your choice. You should be comfortable with your chosen music and your voice suits it also. For different kind of music, there are also different techniques to learn. And choosing the right voice coach is also important. There are different singing instructors, that is why, you have to choose the one that is more experienced and their specialty is your kind of music. Also, make mental notes of their behavior. Singing lessons should be enjoyed, not to be uncomfortable and awkward between you and the teacher. He or she should be patient and understanding, not cruel and insensitive with others.

Most of the professional artists today still hire vocal coaches. It is one way of preserving their voice and they still need their guidance in their careers. They don't stop learning, never stopping even though, they had reached success. They sometimes don't get contented of what they have; accepting that they are not perfect and still has rooms for improvements. And that is the trait they have that everyone who wants to sing better needs to know and take hold of.

And when you finally learn the basics in singing, don't forget to take good care of your singing voice. One doesn't abuse it if he wants to benefit from it. Avoid food and drinks that could harm it. Vices should be stopped, like smoking and going out at night. If you can't avoid these, try to lessen it.

Remember, singing is a passion, live it, and love it.
Learn How To Shake
If you've put up a business from scratch, it can be difficult for you to give up control (over anything) to others. But if you engage yourself in all and everyday tasks, it can have a negative impact on your health, and on your business' long-term development as well. Added to that, it can be de-motivating to your employees when they are not given the responsibilities they think they are capable of taking on.

There are many reasons behind a person's unwillingness to delegate authority. The most common excuses are:

 I can do it better myself.

 I only can do it right.

 I can do it faster.

 Nobody is qualified enough to handle the project.

 If I give up control, things will start to deteriorate.

 I don't know what to delegate.

Do any of these excuses sound familiar to you? I'm sure the answer would be a resounding YES! Well, experts say that if you want to grow your business, you need to grow your manpower first. The fact is, you can't do it all and focus on your strengths until and unless you transfer some responsibilities to others. … so, no more explanations, start learning to delegate from today, if you are still not on that trail!

1. Look for what to delegate: Delegation does not mean to simply hand out assignments. It is a science and an exercise in understanding oneself.

The first thing you need to do here is consider your strengths. Assign your time to those tasks which are critical to the success of the business, and which need to be handled by you personally. Also, consider your personal strengths – are they technical, sales or operations related? Those are the things you should continue doing. The tasks that are not within your proficiency or those that can easily be performed by others are the first things to give away.

2. Pick up the right person: Even when a task is performed by another member on your team, you should remember that ultimately, it is your reputation and credibility on the line. Hence, when you delegate a task, make sure to devote enough time to the initial discussions to assure yourself that the person can, in fact, do the task.

3. Sit with your team: Once you select the right squad, go for a chat with the people you hired. Explain the project accurately, establish what the tasks are, how they should be completed and what the final outcome looks like. Also, emphasize the need for the deadline to be met, if any, and make sure you get their conformity and understanding before you go back to your desk.

4. Keep an eye: Have regular meetings with your team for progress reports, questions and support. Your people should not feel like lost in the workplace. However, don't watch over their shoulders every minute. Managing closely is different from being bossy!

Initially, some of your employees might need plenty of help and support. Don't get irritated! Rather, provide them with training. At the same time, if you find you can step back and give an employee greater autonomy, go for it. Remember, it's your own business and hence, ultimately, you will always retain overall supremacy.

5. Reward the effort: If the person to whom you allotted a responsibility does a good job, let him or her know. Even if the end result is not that satisfactory, you must appreciate the effort that has gone into it. Believe us, it works as a great incentive!

While it may be nice to do all the work yourself, it is usually not possible. Even if it were, delegation will certainly make your own working day less stressful and more rewarding! And once you do it right, your team will collectively achieve a lot more than you ever could single-handedly.
