Portable basketball equipment is a stand-alone unit that includes a base, pole with adjustable bracket, backboard, and rim. It can be adjusted according to the height of the players and can be easily moved around wherever you want to enjoy a game of basketball.

On the other hand, an in-ground pole basketball system is permanently fixed in the ground. You need to select the place properly before installing it as once the installation is done making changes can be difficult. For secure installation, the whole set-up is cemented in a deep hole dug in the ground.

There is one more type of basketball system available in the market. It is the combination system which includes the backboard, rim, net, and mounting kit.
