Lowrider Bikes With Hydraulics

View:

Beach cruiser lowriders are quickly become one of the most popular new bicycle styles available. In many urban areas, clubs are being formed to link together people who ride, design, and customize these popular bikes. These bikes are an offshoot of the traditional bicycle that was known as a beach cruiser. The first beach cruiser bikes were made in the 1950's and were created to look like rocket ships or even motorcycles. The newer beach cruiser bikes are made to be lower to the ground and are slightly elongated, which is what they are called beach cruiser lowriders.

The first lowrider was said to have been rode during the 1960's television show, ?The Munsters.? Eddie Munster rode a Schwinn Stingray that instantly drew people's attention and caused them to want one of their very own. This caused a lowrider phenomenon across the country and this first bike was copied many times over. Beach cruiser lowriders are very enjoyable to ride because they are made for relaxing and enjoying the ride along the each or around your town in style and comfort.

Many people love the beach cruiser lowriders because they are very comfortable. This is due to the fact that riders ride sitting up, because of the handlebar height. This is easier on the back. These lowrider bikes also feature a wider, more cushioned seat, a seat shock absorber, and wider tires than normal, which all come together to make the rider smoother and more comfortable. These bikes usually one have one speed, too, which makes them simple to ride and control. If you ride on more varied terrain, then you may want to choose a multi-speed lowrider bike for your riding.

Beach cruiser lowrider bikes are not only comfortable, but they can also express your personality and individuality. They can be customized with almost any touch that you can imagine from gold components to intricate handpaintings. It is a great way to allow your imagination to take over your detailing so that you create a bike that you are not only proud of, but that is also a piece of art. Customizing only increases the popularity of these bikes. You will easily be able to find a company that will offer you everything that you need to customize your lowrider bike yourself, or you can choose to have it customized for you. In no time, you will be well on your way to having the bike of your dreams that is fun to ride and look at.

Lowrider Bikes With Hydraulics

Custom upholstery, rims, special whitewall tires, and sound systems are common on this mode of transport.

Think I'm talking about a car? No, I'm talking about customized lowrider bicycles - the latest craze sweeping the urban areas of the country.

A lowrider bike is not about biking, although they do get ridden up and down neighborhood streets, or perhaps on the beach, to show off the "pimped up" ride, but mostly they are about viewing.

People have put steering wheels on their bikes, neon, handpainted murals, and even hydraulics. What are "hydraulics"? You might be asking yourself. That's a fancy name for brakes powered by liquid. (Hydro means water in Greek.) The imagination is the limit when it comes to designing a lowrider bike.

You can get a plain old lowrider bike of course - simply a bike with a low, comfortable seat, usually a banana seat, the pedals set further forward then normal so it's almost like you're pedaling while sitting down, and high, swept up handlebars called apehangers.

But what's the point of getting a lowrider without accessorising it? (I prefer the term accessorizing to "pimping," personally, although "pimping" is what all the "young studs" call it.)

It's quite easy to get carried away, and more is not necessarily better, although some lowrider artists seem to think so. Two mirrors on each side, two horns, a spare tire mounted on the rear..it can be a bit much (although you can't tell them that!)

So before you start fitting out your lowrider, think for a while about what you want it to look like. Are you a talented artist? Then purchase some paint made specifically for bikes and give it a unique mural. Match the rest of the accessories to the mural. If it's of a series of volcanos, get red upholstery and red rims, for example. If you've got any mechanical talent at all you can "distress" various of the parts to give it a unique look.

Most of all, you've simply got to join a lowrider club in your area, because most of the fun in having these types of bikes is to show them off to your friends. Lots of clubs have competitions and give prizes for the best-looking or most outrageous-looking bikes.

Surf the web for online stores that offer lowrider accessories, so you'll know what all is out there. Then, let your imagination run wild!
