More Americans will be traveling to China, South America, Hong Kong, and Russia this summer. Fewer are booking trips to countries where the Euro is used, such as Spain, France, and Italy. Those in the travel industry should take heart, then, as Americans will be looking for destinations where the dollar is more than welcome. If you are planning to launch a themed promotion, the first quarter of the year is the best time to drum up the popularity of your value-for-money travel packages.

Promotional luggage tags are some of the least-expensive but more effective giveaways you can use to promote your brand. Send out these promotional luggage tags, or even cheap personalized items like keychains and neck pillows, to prospective clients to encourage them to spend on travel (you might want to stress the fact that spending their money will help improve the economy). Better yet, why not launch a raffle? You can offer some gadgets as prizes, or even better, offer to reimburse the value of the package purchased by the raffle winner. Every business, big or small, should be appreciated in this economic climate, so remember to thank customers who have booked by sending promotional luggage tags their way.

If your company has not previously entertained the idea of direct mail, perhaps this is the best time to do so, as this kind of marketing lets you target a narrower market. Flat rubber promotional luggage tags are perfect for direct-mail offers because they are lightweight.

More than a marketing gimmick, promotional luggage tags will also help you boost your brand's visibility through their use. Just imagine reaching out to thousands of travelers through something as simple as promotional luggage tags, which can cost you less than $5. That translates to a lot of publicity that not even a large billboard can beat.

Resorts, inns, bed-and-breakfasts, and hotels should also take the time to extend gratitude to guests who continue to patronize them despite the dwindling economy. Promotional luggage tags, keychains, refrigerator magnets, and pens may seem very small, but the gesture speaks volumes for your company.
