A lot of internet marketers fail and quit every day. How many of you experienced that you read a lot of stuff and ended up getting more and more confused ? So many ideas but dont know how to start ? I think most of us are like that once. I was like that too. Let me give you two main reasons why so many internet marketers fail.

Most internet marketers quit because They Fail to Take Action! They keep reading and learning all the theories but never really implement it! Remember that you can learn how to swim unless you get yourself wet and really try to swim yourself. No matter how many books you read and no matter how many experts you interview, you just cant learn how to swim without go head and jump into the water and try to swim yourself ! Once you jump into the waters, what really need is your persistence and your determination to succeed. Recently I watch Rocky Balboa Movie by Sylvester Stallone, and there is one quote from the movie that really sticks into my mind.

"To become a champion, it's not about how hard you can hit your opponent. It's how hard you can get hit and still stand up and fight!"

Wow! Stop for a minute and think about that quote for a while. How hard can you get hit ? How long have you been really doing internet marketing ? How many times can you get up after you fail miserably on your pay per click ads but still have the spirit to learn and try to succeed ? Most successful internet marketers spent months and years to earn big bucks on the internet.

The second reason is most internet marketers fail because they simply dont have a game plan! There are hundreds of ways to make money online. It could be through google adsense, selling your own products, google adwords, membership site, etc. What you need to do is find some that is really suitable for you and make a master plan on how to reach that goal. Having a game plan will make you still focus and prevent you from doing all unnecessary stuff.

For instance, you want to make money through your blog. First you need to find your niche, then create a blog of it. You will need to have good quality content on your website, then you might want to submit articles to ezines website like www.ezinearticles.com, then you might want to drive traffic to your website. How to drive traffic to your website ? Google adwords ? SEO your blog ? What will you do after the traffic visit your site ? How do you monetize your blog ? All these have to be carefully planned upfront. If you dont have a game plan, trust me, you will get astrayed. It seems simple but avoid this common mistake by internet marketers.

To design your game plan. Try to make a whole lot of questions and answer them as specific as possible. Some sample questions you can ask yourself:

1. What is your niche market ?

2. How many competitions are there for your niche ?

3. Which method are you gonna use to make money online ? Affiliate marketing ? Monetize your blog ? Joint venture with a software engineer and create affiliate programs ? Create your own products ? Membership site ? Get paid to write review on products/services ?

4. If you do affiliate marketing, are you gonna use google adwords or organic search ?

5. If you use google adwords, will you direct them to your merchant landing page or to your website and your own landing page ?

6. If you tend to use organic search, how will you drive traffic and increase your website ranking ? Article submission ? Directory submission ? Google adwords ? Forum interactions ? etc.

7. If you will have your own website or blogs, how will you create content ? How often will you update ? Do you need to hire ghostwriter to write your content ?

8. How will you monitize your website ? Adsense ? Optin form ? Text ad links ? etc.

These sample questions will definitely help you to brainstorm and design your game plan. Having a game plan is very important! Whenever you lost focus, it will direct you back to your designated paths. Avoiding these two most common mistakes have already increased your chance to succeed by 50%!
