While many car makers are finding ways to develop fuel efficiency there is no way that BMW will be left behind. BMW Europe have already present to the market the diesel engines that are durable and withstand to the hassles that normal road environment toss in the direction of your car without having to stop for continuous gas fill-ups.

As you bear in mind that diesel can manage as much as 37 miles per gallon on the highway, for the European models it is a very big advancement that most other car manufacturers are only able to dream of. With a large amount of car manufacturers being glad at manufacturing a car that can just 30 miles per gallon on the highway, BMW has stepped it up a notch so that it is very workable to go longer distances before your next fuel stop.

BMW featured diesel cars are the most fuel resourceful cars on the market even do better than few of the hybrid cars that are manufactured to run on a mixture of electricity and gasoline. As you can imagine, with the superior gas mileage that is likely, it is also a huge help to reduced carbon emissions. On average the emissions for a BMW diesel engine is as much as 20% less than the emissions of a equivalent sized gasoline engine. This small but crucial reduction equals up to a huge help towards improving the atmosphere through basic things that all vehicle owners can look into.

As you can envisage BMW will certainly be launcing the great fuel-efficient diesel vehicles over from Europe with the US versions slated to hit the road in 2008. This means by the end of 2007 you can expect to see the great diesel models showing up in BMW showrooms around the United States ready and willing to show just how great BMW technology is when you combine it with fuel efficiency and decreased emissions.

I am excited to hop in one of these great diesel cars, without any clear change in performance from the gasoline powered models. BMW has worked very hard to guarantee that it is a faultless modification for those BMW fans who are anticipating the great technology coming across the ocean and showing up in the US showrooms soon.
