The handset is no nonsense mobile, but a pure talking gadget, that typifies a quintessential mobile device. The device comes with an old fashioned simplicity, yet with a bold and serious look. The Nokia 6300 comes garbed in stainless steel casing, to pose as a robust mobile. Yet, it is light weight & slim with 12mm deep. The Nokia 6300's 320x240-pixel (QVGA) colour screen displays up to 16 million colours, and ensures that imaging experience is not diluted. While the well etched keypad makes the device user friendly, the four way navigation key makes operation easy. Further, the Nokia 6300 glows with a blue light on either side, when you have an unread text message. It is not a necessary part, but sure adds some good value to the handset.

The menu are displayed neatly on the screen, and they can be viewed as a grid of icons, as tabs or as list. And to provide more pleasure to the users, the Nokia 6300 allows the users to rearrange the icons in the desired order.
