Those that are rich don't really having a spending budget, so they can invest thousands and thousands into building their panic room.

A panic room for most of us is a place in the home that family members can retreat to for security or call the police in an emergency . It really is not all that necessary to go and put a steel door with steel walls in the room, even though you will need a fortified door that opens outward with fortified walls.

You can possess a door made of wood or any other material,as long as the key is of a material that is extremely difficult to break through. Regardless of what type of door you decide to choose, the door jamb should be made of steel so the attackers can not kick open the door.

It is very important for your panic room to not include any windows. The windows can provide entry for the attackers. You should keep your panic room equipped with a phone in the room, as well as water, food, kits for first aid, and defensive weapons to help protect yourself and family. You never know if you will need medical supplies, so keep them in the panic room as well.

You will not be able to predict how long you will be shut in your panic room when an emergency arises. So you should always think about well ventilation, lighting, and even personal hygiene. Not only days but you could be stuck in the panic room for weeks which will ultimately affect your personal hygiene. So keep a fresh supply of toiletries ready.

One of the reasons why most people decide to build a panic room is because of burglars, because they can become a real big problem.. You can live in the nicest neighborhood in the city, but it doesn't matter because a burglary can happen when you least expect it.

If a burglary does happen do not try t rationalize with the thieves. They are not trying to listen. You have a panic room take your loved ones there.

It is important that you make sure that everyone in your home knows where the panic room is located and the proper way to use it. If you have little ones teach them about the panic room and how important it is. Teach them that the room should never be used for playing or lounging in.

The panic room is only used for emergencies to help protect yourself and your family.

If you have already have a panic room or are interested in getting one, you should make it a priority to make sure you have all your supplies at your disposal. When you are in your panic room, make sure that the keys that are used to open the panic room door is with you inside so no one else can enter.

While taking cover while you are in the room immediately call the police. Then calmly wait inside your panic room until help arrives in the form of police. Never should you under any circumstances try to come out of your panic room before the police arrive. If there is thief in the house you could only possibly make it worse.
