The most important thing to so during the SuperBowl Halftime show is go to the bathroom. Unless I absolutely can not wait I will not move from my seat on the couch during the SuperBowl, so as soon as the whistle blows I am off to the bathroom.

This year I will be watching the game with my poker buddies, and during halftime we are going to play a few hands of Texas Holdem. If you are going to be watching the game with people who are not into poker you can always play some Blackjack.

If playing 30 to 45 minutes of poker or blackjack is not your style then eating is always a good idea. Every year I make something special for the SuperBowl, this year I may make BBQ Ribs, or maybe I will make something else I still have more then 72 hours before the game to decide. If you are going to have food delivered for a halftime feast try to get them to deliver it 30 minutes before the game, I realize you want it hot for the halftime, but many times restaurants that deliver get so many orders for halftime you risk not getting your food till the 3rd half.

Last year we watched 2 episodes of the Simpson's that someone had on DVD, and after they were over we were just in time for the game to start. Usually other channels will try to plan their programming around the halftime show, so you may want to check your local TV guide to see if anything interesting will be showing in your area.

Another option is the Puppy Bowl on the Animal Planet. They take several breeds of dog and they put them in an enclosed arena and let them play football. They have some of the fiercest players who are also the cutest and fuzziest rookie players who have ever played, and some of these players are only 9 weeks old. From bulldogs to boxers and all dogs in between, and it is supposed to be pretty funny.

If you want to see all the great SuperBowl commercials, but really do not wan to see the rest of the SuperBowl halftime nonsense then turn down the volume on the TV and make sure someone is paying attention to the TV, so that when a commercial comes on you can put the volume up and watch what are usually the best commercials of the year.

Another idea is to play a few rounds of a drinking game. There are many drinking games available o play. If you do not know any I recommend looking them up on the internet. A drinking game will help you keep the excitement of the party up till the game begins.

Hopefully this will help you avoid watching the SuperBowl halftime Show.
