When you have a flooded basement, the world can come to a crashing halt. A flooded basement can mean thousands of dollars in property damage. 4 - A flooded basement is not something you look forward to but if you have a finished basement, perhaps looking into covering the floor with tile would be a better option than carpet. This could save you hundreds of dollars in ruined carpeting if the carpet gets ruined.

There are also hidden dangers in addition to property loss. With the excess build up in water and moisture, the flooded area can become a home to mold and mildew. This can cause serious health problems. In addition, did you know that termites and carpenter ants are attracted to wet places? You don't want any new neighbors like that moving in with you.

Damage to a room if not taken care of properly can also lower the resale value of your home. Your home is an investment, so don't lose part of that investment by not taking care of your flood issues right away.
