I've never thought much about hand-held hovers. Simply because in my opinion it has not been as good or as effective as traditional hovers. I have always associated hand-held hovers rather as toys, not as real household devices. Now, however, I can't live without it.



The sucking-up power of Dyson Root 6 Hand-Held Vacuum, DC-16 is excellent! It is even capable of pulling up scattered salt or cooked rice from a carpet. Unbelievable? Not at all. It really does!

Its battery life is quoted at 6 minutes on a 3 hour charge and actually it is really what it gives. It is not a long time and some reviewers have complained of this when I read the opinions before purchasing, so I expected that when I bought it and do not feel disappointed at all about this fact.

As with other Dyson models the root cyclone technology emits clean air as you hover. As well, you get to see all your efforts floating around in the chamber which provides a certain level of satisfaction. It's not as noisy or heavy as other hand-held hovers either.

The two attachments work for most surfaces e.g. carpets, flooring panels or floor tiles and its portability make it ideal for cleaning up hard accessible spaces like behind the wardrobe or between a cupboard and sofa. It is also perfect to use after a child of yours throws his food on the floor or at you. The hover can suck up everything, even wet, sticky products.

Overall a great household device!
