There is such a thing called reverse free email search in the internet today that will allow you to acquire a person's details such as his name, address and phone number as long as you know his email address. It sounds impossible does it not? It even sounds illegal. But you should forget how they sound because it is absolutely possible and 100% legal! Furthermore, you can avail of it for free!

A reverse free email search has a lot of practical uses. First, it allows you to get a background check on a person whom you do not know well but you must deal with, for example, your new girlfriend or a new client. A reverse email search will provide you some information about that person as it can dig through various databases at the same time.

Reverse email searches are very useful particularly in dating websites, because it allows a person to confirm the identity of another person from their profile. Dating websites have an increasing number of false identities that are used for a variety of purposes, from hiding the real age to prevent rejection to more sinister intentions.

Reverse email searches also benefit those in business since they can be used to find out the full contact details of a person, say, a client or a new business partner. This is especially helpful in tracking down credit card shams and preventing the acquisition of a chargeback from the credit card companies when receiving payments via the internet.

There are also a huge number of cases of online stalkers, and people being threatened or harassed online. Reverse email searches will allow you to get information about the aggressor and help the victim and the authorities track him down.

A reverse free email search can be done in several ways. Here are some which might prove to be the most effective:

1.) First, locate the source of the email address. For example, if it is a Yahoo email address. Go to the Yahoo website. There, you will find a search function that will allow you to enter an email address and search through the registered members with validated email addresses. If you happen to locate the person, you should know that his basic registration details are the only information you will get.

2.) If the first approach did not help you, you can try to locate websites that specifically focus on providing free reverse email lookup services. There are many of these sites online, which would provide you basic information as well including the registered name of the owner of the email address, his geographic location, his internet service provider (ISP), and in some cases, his computer's IP address. Additional fees are charged for more in-depth searches.

3.) If step 2 still did not help you, use the power of social networks. Almost anyone has at least one social network account and it is almost impossible not to find a person using these sites. Social networks like LinkedIn and Facebook provide a search functionality that allows members to search other members by entering one or more details such as name, email address, age, gender, location schools attended, etc. As mentioned, only members can use these sites to search. Thus, you have to be register first. Registration is free and would only eat up less than five minutes of your time.
