Are you tired of watching travel documentaries about the ancient Pyramids or the Great Wall of China? Do you long to experience a moonlight stroll along the boulevards of Paris or see a herd of elephants on the African veldt with your own eyes? Would you like to ride a gondola along the canals of Venice? And would you like to do all of it on the same journey? If so, then you what you are really looking for is the travel experience available only with world cruises.

The World Cruises Difference

World cruises are the voyages of a lifetime, and the cruise operators which offer them make every effort to ensure that you will be as enriched by your world cruise as you could possibly hope. World cruises will include lecture series by speakers familiar with all the cultural, historical, and artistic attractions of your next port-of- call.

Your shipboard dining will incorporate the fresh ingredients, recipes, and wines of the area you are visiting, and you will be treated to performances by local entertainers both when you arrive import and onboard your ship.

You can take advantage of excursions arranged by your cruise operators to get you to the special events and local attractions not usually available to tourists. And some world cruise operators can even arrange for you to have a private car and guide to make sure you do not waste a minute of your excursion time.

Can You Imagine This?

World cruises are, if anything, even more elaborate in their pampering of their guests at sea than cruises of shorter duration. Imagine awakening to breakfast delivered directly to your stateroom and then heading for a beauty treatment in the shipboard spa, or for a workout in the fitness center. Spend the morning at a cooking class learning about and sampling the cuisine of the next port, or relax with your favorite newspaper, magazine, or novel in the ship's library. Catch up on your email, or simply collapse onto a deck chair in a sunny spot and watch the open ocean extending to the horizon in all directions. Feel you mind opening in response.

Word Cruises On A Budget

If you can be content with clean, comfortable, good sized-cabins and no-frills sailing, you can find freighter companies which offer world cruises of between one and two and a half months for prices between $90 and $120 a day. Most freighters have a lounge for relaxing, a library, and a swimming pool. Age restrictions apply.

Traditional world cruises usually last between nine and sixteen weeks, and will encompass between twenty and fifty ports. If you have sufficient time and financial resources, world cruises can be the vacations to end all vacations!

Luxury cruises are ideal for those who need to completely surrender control during their vacations, and let someone else handle the details like cleaning and meals, and be at their beck and call around the clock. The best of the best luxury cruises will be designated as such by their six-star ratings which, as mentioned before, set them apart as something truly special.
