One of the trends that are gaining huge popularity around the world is self catering. A practice which encourages one to do the work himself, thereby minimising one's reliance on servants. This is one trend which can be most experienced in UK with quite a few people opting for this practice. What is striking here is the fact that this practice is increasingly finding its way how people enjoyed their vacations. Gone are the days when room service was a must for any hotel to become popular. Not any more. People today don't want to be disturbed at any cost. So much so that even the room service is a cause of irritation for them. It is because of this that there is a wide spread mushrooming of self catering cottages. Holiday destination that give utmost freedom to guests to make comfortable their stay in any which way they want. So much so that they can even cook their meals here.

This practice has also found its way into the manner people celebrate. Then whether the occasion is to celebrate birthdays or marriages it is something practiced everywhere. It proves to be beneficial to everyone. Guests can now enjoy the occasion without unnecessarily being hassled by waiters. Hosts also benefit from such a practice as they would save big time on the amount that they otherwise would have spent on waiters.

Self catering is one practice that helps in developing some healthy practices as well. First of which is minimising the dependence on servants and doing one's work oneself. Since people exert themselves in doing the work they also stand a very good chance to knock of that extra fat and attain that hour glass figure.

It is one practice that is here to stay simply because the advantages to be gained from it are simply outstanding. It, therefore, is easy to conclude that self catering is one practice that would gain even more popularity in times to come.
