You just saw this add in the paper, ?Small Dogs for Sale? and your curiosity has been whetted. Only yesterday you were bemoaning the lack of a warm body to come home to, and were even thinking of going down to your pet store to find a suitable warm body. A dog would have to do since you didn't think you would know how to handle being ?owned? by a cat. Besides your mother is allergic to cats and although it was tempting you resisted the wicked idea, and had decided to go with a dog.



Ideally a small dog was what you needed as your flat wasn't all that big, You did have access to a small garden but that was hardly enough for you to stand in let alone to let a large dog roam loose. A small dog would have to do, but you had no idea what kind of breed you wanted. You only knew with certainty that you didn't want a Chihuahua. They gave you the creeps. Neither did you want a Bassett hound gracing you flat, it would just be too depressing to watch its big eyes staring heartrendingly into your face.

So you're left now with not a clue as to what you want in your mythical small dog, but all ready and raring to go and see what type of small dog was meant by the small dogs for sale ad that you saw.

You rush down to the address mentioned in the classifieds page and wait in eager anticipation as someone comes to answer the door bell. You ask about the small dogs for sale ad and wait eagerly for their answer. You're given a smile and then invited around the side of the house to the garage. Here you find yourself confronted by a handful of playfully gamboling puppies. They're definitely not Chihuahuas but you don't know what they are, and neither does their owner, who points helplessly at their mother who is a small dog of indeterminate and mixed breed.

You settle on buying one immediately as you don't see a problem with the puppies and you quite like the look of the mother who looks kind of cute in a mixed up sort of way. The hardest part of course comes when you need to choose from amongst the litter. Looking into their cute faces you wish that you could take them all home with you but you really only need one. One little fellow attaches himself to your leg and declares that he belongs to you and that's basically it. No mess no fuss.

That should of course have been a forewarning of course. Ever since you answered that small dogs for sale ad, and bought the little guy home, you haven't been left with one intact pair of shoes, slippers, or even jeans! Now you've resorted to keeping all of your clothing at least six feet off the ground.
