Social networking has become a very attractive way to communicate with your friends, families, colleagues and loved ones. Social networking sites host free services to search and find long lost friends, interact or communicate with your relatives, post your comments, photos, ideas, music or video, use enticing and useful applications and do many other things that even a face-to-face interaction may not allow. MySpace is one such leading social networking service which offers excellent opportunity for interacting socially in the web. Amongst many features, MySpace offers creation of customized profile theme pages with HTML/DHTML(Hypertext Mark-up Language/Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language) or CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) scripts. These are called MySpace layouts. MySpace layouts promote your profile by reflecting your taste and outlook.

There are thousands of MySpace layouts available in the World Wide Web. MySpace layouts can be used to give your profile's ‘About me' ‘Interests', ‘Movies' and many other sections a customized and personal look. Amongst many MySpace layouts available in the web, military MySpace layouts have stunning looks and attractive features.

Military MySpace layouts feature wide range of military themes. Websites which offer military MySpace layouts arrange these themes in certain categories. The categories index allows the MySpace user to choose the appropriate military MySpace layout. The common layout categories available in the web pages are Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard), operations and wars (like Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom etc), specific branches of a particular service (like armor, infantry, artillery etc), military equipment (like tank, aircraft, submarine etc) or specific military events. There are also many layouts which are based on particular military unit or formation's theme (like 82nd or 101st Airborne Division).

Military MySpace layouts are chosen not only by thousands and probably millions of military personnel around the world but they are top choices for many ex-servicemen or persons having interest in the military affairs. MySpace has become very popular social networking service for the U.S. soldiers now deployed around the world especially in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a result, military MySpace layouts too have been a special attraction for the soldiers and their friends and families. Customized and ready-made military MySpace layouts override the default profile page or theme provided by MySpace.com.

Websites which promote military MySpace layouts usually provide an easy-to-surf category index. Sub-categories may occasionally appear under some categories. Usually the military MySpace layouts are provided under a particular category/sub-category with a thumbnail view, a small box containing the CSS or HTML code and a preview option. If you like a particular preview, all you need to do is copy the relevant HTML/CSS code in the code box and paste it to the desired field in your Edit Profile option of your MySpace account.

As you save changes in the Edit Profile page, your MySpace layout will be modified according to the chosen military MySpace layout. So enjoy!

This is the area of the profile that the code should be inserted in to. Click inside the box and once again right click on the mouse and press Paste. This is all there is to it. Make sure you save the changes before leaving and then refresh your profile page to see the new layout.

If you want to you can go a step further and try to learn some basic HTML and CSS.
