 Marble can absorb liquids so try to prevent water rings and staining by using placemats and coasters. If anything does spill onto its surface, immediately clean it up, making sure to blot at the stain rather than wipe at it. Marble can burn easily so use hot pads. Always use cutting boards and placements to avoid any scratches.

 Do not use polished marble in high traffic area. Use coasters under glasses or bottles. Avoid using old vacuum cleaners. Always rinse using clean, warm water. Allow floors to dry before use. Use nutshells, feldspar, silica, quartz abrasives on honed marble only, and never on polished surfaces. Don't use wax on marble, as it makes it slippery. Inspect interior and exterior tiles regularly and correct flaws straightaway. Avoid using ammonia and bleach for removing stains. Avoid using hot water to clean split milk as this may worsen the stain.
