Though the actual reason behind its work has not been known yet but according to the analysts it works by causing the development of the eyelashes while preserving them in their active growth phrase, which is known as ?anagen?.

But it must be remembered that the hairs that grow in different parts of the body has different amount of growth rate. This is also applicable for the eyelashes as they retain a low growth rate. The phrases of the growth of the hairs also differ from each other. The drug extends the growth phrase of the eyelash and hence it's utility. The drug Latisse is used once in a day and it can be applied topically to the stem of one's upper eyelashes.

It must also be noted that eyelashes do not grow within a night but it requires continuous and timely application. According to the medical surveys, the first result got visible closely around 4 weeks. To get the full result, 16 weeks is needed at minimum. It has been advised to the users that to get the best result, the users have to use it regularly in the night and must wait patiently for the outcome.

When the result has been found in its fullest, there is no need to stop its application because ceasing its application means returning to the primary phrase of the whole thing. The design of the treatment can be compared with the scalp treatment of Rogaine. Often it has been reported by the user that they are facing itchiness and redness in their eyes but one must not worry about these things as they will vanish once the user's eyes gets used to the drug.

The result can yield up to 4mm of increase in length.
